I thought the bigger the house the lower $ psft? I do not think he can really sell at 1million bucks

$500psf is quite low liao. a 30 yr old 4rm in clementi is going for $500++ and clementi is definitely not near city like Stratmore
hmmm .. Clementi there is Nan Hua, ... Queenstown has ??? -

We have to buy a bigger place as in laws are going to stay with us. .
or you could buy a place nearby, say same or next block, for them. Close enough to support and yet not too close. :celebrate: -

actually that is quite true. My friend is staying in a 4-room flat in stratmore and she can't think of a primary school that is within 1km from her place! -

Sheryl,
that is not what we meant. We are asking you if the decision of in-laws staying with you.
As what tankee suggested, buying another place nearby (even same block) maybe be better then getting a bigger place and staying together. -
how much truth are there in theses tots :
1) Land scare in SIN - so property prices will always go up
2) For an economy to boom - it depends also on property prices
For e.g - HK property so expensive ; people there are relatively richer
So in order for Singaporeans to be rich- property prices need to rise??? :?
But will we end up like Japan, -
whereby it will take 2 or more generations
to pay off the housing loan?
Being in the game (buy, sell, hedge, investment in property) seems easy
but its always the Maintenance that may hit you real hard ... -

OIC. we did have this thought originally. But parents in law are getting old & we do not feel safe for them to stay alone anymore.sheryl:
