[Bishan] Primary Schools

that is very good advice. Thanks! I shall apply to be a PV for those few schools first. For a child born in 2006, when should I apply to the schools?

Born in 2006 means register in 2012? Then apply in end 2010. -

Hi, I have to register my son for Primary School this year and I'd like some advice on the chances of my son getting into Catholic High.
We are Catholics and we fall under 2B. We live just outside the 2km parimeter. Do you think we have chances of getting into that School? If we fail to get in, our 2nd choice would be Maris Stella High. But do we naturally fall under 2C if we fail our first choice (ie CH)? If we choose Maris Stella as first choice, we'd be placed under 2B cos of church affliliation. I'm afraid we'd be placed under 2C cos we didn't register as first choice in the beginning.
Appreciate any advice

It would depends the number of applicants in Phase 2B which mainly form by PV, Grassroot Leaders & maybe church association. If demand > supply then it would be balloting situation. The distance do plays apart.Hi, I have to register my son for Primary School this year and I'd like some advice on the chances of my son getting into Catholic High.

You may want to check Past Balloting History for Catholic High & Maris Stella. You can only register at 1 school in a given phase. -
Thanks

I hope I read you correctly.
You need to make a choice between the 2 schools, by weighing your chances of getting into one of these 2 schools. As you are outside 2km of Catholic High, which, for the past few years, need balloting in phase 2B for those staying within 1km from the school, thus, you will not even get a balloting chance.
Irregardless of which school you choose under phase 2B, if you are not successful, you could only wait to register in the next phase, which will be phase 2C. Thus, if you have the chance to register under phase 2B, make a wise choice, don't waste it.
By the way, you can only register in one school at a time.
Cheers. -
Thanks Tulip! You've helped to clear my queries
Thanks so much! -
