Hi all,
I am living at Blk 73A-77A Redhill Rd and abit concerned about the school bus timing and pickup locations.
Firstly, 2 out of 3 of the pickup locations are not sheltered. Won’t the kids get very wet if it rains heavily?
Secondly, the pickup times are rather early considering school starts at 7.30am. Do they really need to reach school half an hour early?
Thirdly, 2 of the 3 pickup locations are along the roadside & on slopes. Are the brakes of the buses good enough to prevent the bus from rolling?
I think I’m too kiasi but can any parents living in this estate advice? -
Hi Lady Fifi
Do you mean that you have already found out what time the school bus will pick up your child and where? Could you share? I’m in Redhill as well but Redhill Close. -
i always hoped the pickup n dropoff point will be at the
round about circle when going into the carpark.
parents will take their kids to radin mas pcf shld know wat
i am talking. Saw quite few other kindergarden sch buses there
its sheltered all the way to our blks…from 77a-76-75…etc
i really hope tat the pickkup point is there however my mum
told me she saw b4 a dropoff point for other sch bues at redhill close ard the 4-D shop infront…

Hi, for those driving their kids to school, can you tell me hows it like? Security told me can drive through gate 2, drop off and go.
However, when pick up time, parents will have to park their cars and fetch their kids. Is finding a place to park difficult? As im a new driver, i lack confidence in sending/fetching my kid home actually, even though going to sch part seems less of a hassel (no need to park car). I will need to do a u turn shortly after gate 2 and go back towards tiong bahru direction. Is the traffic very heavy during those two timings? :gloomy: -
Hi Moustacher, may I knw where is Gate 2 ? The one next to/behind Delta Hse or ? … TIA !
-
I think so. The gate is at Prince Philip Ave. Next to a building. You can look at the orientation slides.
The main front gate is for sch buses and teachers only. -
Hi Hi
In the morning, parents who are driving may enter the school via Gate 2 (the one at Delta House). At one go, a max of 4 cars may stop at the designated drop-off points. Children are taught to get ready to alight prior reaching the gate. There will be teachers on duty daily.
As for pick-up, due to the dead end at road leading to gate 2, we will all drive in, make a 3 pt turn and park along either side of the roads with car facing the main road. Till date, parents are very co-operative & have maintain good driving habits allowing each car to make the turn and move out before the next car gets its turn. Usu the first car will be parking nearer to the gate, the rest just parked ahead of one another.
Moving out after picking the children is smooth & easy so far. We make sure the road is cleared and no children on road before going off (some children go back by foot from gate 2 too)
If it rains during pick-up, we will still to get down and fetch the children. Unless it is pouring very heavily, the school might open the gate only after children going back by foot left. So far we have not experienced that yet.
Guard will only open gate when the children are out. Classrooms are nearer to Gate 1. Parents can enter to car porch to pick them up. The teachers will only dismiss children when the parents are here.
The children are encouraged to come and go from safe gate daily.
Hope the information helps!

Gate 2 is behind Delta House. The one along main road at front of Delta House is their car park exit.
