Jennifer:
She heard it from another classmate. Quite a small class so easy to identify who scored well...Just Mama:
She probably would not admit but i believe she did not study/prepare for test at all ... sigh ... congrats, heard yrs did very well

My boy told me that the day before the actual paper, there was a mock paper. Becos he did not know the ans to many qns in the mock paper, he revised to prepare for the actual paper. If this had been a pop quiz, I doubt he would hv done well.
My boy also still not on auto revision mode. Everyday spends his time doing the sch assignments, then plays or reads. Have to remind him to revise his work daily.
I think the children are not used to daily revision yet, so unlike in pri sch, only need to prepare when it was closer to CA or SA period.
Btw, how did your dd know my boy's results? -
My boy told me (only this morning) that the class is going to write a CL compo in the class. No luxury of checking with me the characters
He also got back his first CL compo (before attending the tuition), just passed. Asked him if the CL teacher had written any comments for improvement, he said no. Like this how to improve on next one? -
Jennifer:
My dd also just passed and was deducted 3 marks for not meeting the min 500 words requirement :stupid: She was not aware of thatMy boy told me (only this morning) that the class is going to write a CL compo in the class. No luxury of checking with me the characters

I thought this topic is very difficult for my boy. There is hardly such character in his life. Most pple he knows are still around and does not really qualify as unforgetable. In the end, we settled for his P6 Sci teacher. Of course could not write any thing good about this person. It is precisely our dislike for him that made him an unforgetable person. However, the CL tuition tutor told my boy that in such topic, one should write of only the good stuff about the person. Hiaz.
Today's topic seems also not easy. My boy told me about this compo early this morning when my brain still has not started working
I only remembered telling him to write the two sides of the coin and then take a stand. Hopefully can make it a 500 words compo.

Today's compo require creativity thinking, not easy too. Side track, how is your son getting on with 3rd lang? Understand 3rd lang score will be included in GPA

He enjoys learning French. Just the journey to come home is tiring. Ytd he fell asleep on the bus. Luckily hubby would be able to fetch him on some occasions.
