1. Based on past years' statistics, balloting has NOT occurred for Phase 2A2 or earlier.

2 & 3. For ANY phase, if the number of applicants exceed available places, balloting will take place. Allocation will be by proximity to school; that is, within 1km, 1-2km and above 2km.

Say school has 10 places, and there are 4 applicants staying within 1km, 8 applicants within 1-2km and applicants above 2km. Those 4 staying within 1km will be allocated first, then the 8 staying within 1-2km will ballot for the remaining 6 places. Those staying above 2km will be rejected in this example.

4. Phase 2B are community leaders, PV, church and associations. No special previlege given within the same phase.

5. Letter must be produced during registeration.

So that means so long there is a need for ballot, be it phase 2A or 2B, Allocation will be by proximity to school; that is, within 1km, 1-2km and above 2km?

And if I join the shool alumni, I have to pay the fee yearly? Also participate in their activities etc? Pls advise.

Sorry, I think you misread my post. I didn't mention that my child is not taking up spore citizenship.

And I did try the search engine but can't find any info, if not there is too many pages and I don't have the time to go thru as my workplace has no access to internet and I can only surf at home during free time. So my surfing time is limited that's why I post my enquiries here.

Hope any KSP members can help in this aspect to gather more info asap. Thanks.

I was not born and brought up in Singapore so am not sure of the education system here. Can anybody please suggest whether international school syllabus IB or the local syllabus is better also when the child finishes his A level or Junior college in IB is there any preference to local school students compared to IB students or vice versa

does joining the alumni guarantee a place for your child in the school?

is home-school distance stilll an issue in phase 2A?

how do we find other members of the alumni to endorse our application?

You can't find any thread for that because you are pretty much guaranteed a place for phase 2A. In fact, save your money and skip joining the alumni (unless you are doing it for the love of your school). Phase 2A2 is good enough to guarantee a place. Balloting has never been necessary for Phase 2A.

can you apply for sch 1 under phase 2A and get accepted,

and apply for school B under phase 2C later

before making a final decision?
