      West Spring Primary School:

Dear Parents of P1 2015 Cohort,

:congrats:A warm welcome to all 231 of you to our West Spring family!

We’re so heartened to see the fantastic take-up rate at this year’s P1 registration exercise, given the extra 8th class that had been opened to cater to the increasing demand for our school next year. :rahrah:

In 2013, we’d 171 applicants at the end of Phase 2C Supp. :rahrah:

      In 2014,
we’d 231 applicants at the end of Phase 2C Supp. :rahrah: :rahrah:

At the close of Phase 2C Supplementary, we’re happy to share that West Spring had the highest number of applicants in the Bukit Panjang area of schools,
for each of the Phases - 2C and 2C Supplementary, thanks to the tremendous support from parents hailing from within Bukit Panjang and beyond. :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

The P1 Orientation will be on Friday, 7 Nov 2014.This event is very important and is expected to take up half a day. All Phase 2C applicants would have received a confirmation letter from us on this matter. Phase 2C Supplementary applicants will be receiving their letters in a few days’ time.

As of now, we’ve just 9 more vacancies left.

      :welcome:
We look forward to welcoming the remaining 9 parents and their children to our West Spring family soon!

If you’ve any queries, please contact Mdm Noor at 63144192 from Monday to Friday between
      8.00 am to 4 pm.

Congratulation and applause to West Spring Primary School's efforts to proactively engage parents and community to understand the school better. 1st step towards popular school is engaging...Your efforts paid off with higher take up rate than last year. :salute:

      Dear JT69,

:thankyou: for your compliments and vote of confidence in our West Spring family! 🕺

Dear Boys Manager & All Other Newly Registered Parents of P1 Cohort 2015, 😄

We’ve received feedback from our newly registered parents on the challenges faced should we conduct the Student Care application during orientation on 7 Nov 2014 – that the external Student Care Centres might be full by then. :nailbite:

Hence, we’ve just had a discussion with Pro-Teach, our Student Care operator on this concern brought to our attention. We’d like to share that we’ll commence our Student Care application process from 1st to 12th September 2014. The application forms will be made available to newly registered parents who require student care services. 😉

Please do drop by our school’s General Office, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00 pm with effect from 1st September 2014.

Parents will be notified of the outcome (based on our selection criteria) on 30 Sept 2014. This will allow unsuccessful applicants the opportunity to look for an external student care. :xedfingers:

We’re pleased to share that we’ll be starting our Scientists@PLAY programme
on Thursday, 28 August 2014, during recess times. :rahrah:

This programme serves to introduce the wonderful world of science to our West Springers from Primary 1 through hands-on science activities during recess. We’re so blessed to have the help of our Parent Volunteers to help the teachers conduct this programme. :hi5:

Henceforth, West Springers may look forward to the last Thursday of each month for the Scientists@PLAY programme during their recesses. 🕺

On Monday, 18 August 2014, we also introduced recess story-telling by our Parent Volunteers who encourage our West Springers to love reading and make effort to visit our
lovely ‘Woods of Wonder’ library to borrow books. :grphug:
