What I mean by beneficial is not specifically on the \"grades\" (but I definitely wont mind it :). I am interested to know what do the teachers do for the programme - surely it cant be experiments, experiments and more experiments every week for the next 3 years?my son (now in sec 1) was in the e2k programme and he enjoyed himself very much.
The programme will not help you score in the PSLE as it doesn't cover PSLE-related topics, but it's great for inquisitive minds which enjoy doing fun projects, and learning about scientific things in general. -

It’s not necessarily experiments, but they learn things like how polar bars keep warm, how to build a toy car… that sort of thing. It wasn’t classroom style teaching but more hands on, and held in the school sci lab. -

Yes, it is weekly for 3 years for his school. And in view of the weekly commitments, students can even use E2K as the CCA and gave up their current CCA. Mine will be first for me...so hope to 少走一些冤枉路。。。 -
hubby refused to believe in math tuition…actually he has been the one teaching son math since p1 WITHOUT tuition. at p4, son still had 84…however, when son went to p5, he couldn’t even get daily homework done and needless to say, flunk CA1 and SA1 BADLY.
so for #2, HE is convinced daughter needs math tuition.
and preparation for PSLE begins from p4…worst thing is, there is a change of English syllabus for kids from 2015…so it is a never-ending headache.
冤枉路 is unescapable…it’s only a matter of how much can be reduced. -

DD2- so you should be quite experienced, having went through with your DD1 :)? Mine is DS1 - headache. Still playful and not getting into study momentum yet... -

having gone through psle helps A LITTLE...but the stress level facing the child sitting for it is another story altogether. -
