What a surprise when I log into the forum, I saw the discussion on the LC for today …just after my gal told me dunno what is right ans 1 or ans 2. Jia You all P6s.

The first picture shows a ribbon, a pencil and an eraser , while the second shows a pencil, eraser and worksheet. My DD chose (2) but her friends said that it is (1) as worksheets would be supplied at the station(s) . However,my DD told me she chose (2) as the passage stated clearly that they were supposed to put on the green ribbon on the left sleeve of their T-shirt.

What is the answer? Can anyone get back to me? Thanks

i try not to ask her on how/what she ans..... don't stress her too much, just move on and focus on the next exam....

I fully agreed. What has done cannot be undone.
But still, when others start to discuss about the answers, I can't resist to counter check with him. Me bad ! :slapshead:

For me, checking is a good form of DD's self assessment how she performs. In a way from this assessment, as parents, we can level set the expectation to align with her PSLE score. It is as if DD is expecting herself to score 270 and with the lost marks given away, she will lower the expectation score. For this, it doesn't give her element of stress but to catch up with her lost marks and aim for her target score instead.... ( which I thot it was good :xedfingers: )

but yes, dd said CL and was easier than EL...

DD shared that the last qn was tricky. Lost 2 marks.
Her classmates who are strong in CL also got it wrong too.
For EL, she alrdy lost 1 mark. :nailbite:[/quote]GG, may I know what's the last CL question ? Is it something about what can we learn from the old lady ? What should be the correct answer ? Is it 勤劳 or 种花 ? And which is the question that your DD got wrong ? I think the questions are really very tricky. Thanks.

Hope to get some feedback on the last English LC which I felt was quite vague. The context of the passage was that the morale story was not to be greedy. It was about a girl who found a flute. When she blew it for the 1st time, she got some silver. When she blew it for the 2nd time,she got gold. She then decided to return to the police. The policeman transformed into a wizard and told her that luckily she did not blow it for the 3rd time cos’ her clothes will turn to rags and all her money in the house would be gone. He said because of her wise choice, she will find happiness thereafter.


The question was what was the moral of the story. Answer choices were :
(a) wisdom of xxx (can’t recall exactly on this choice)
(b) honesty is the best policy
gold and silver cannot buy happiness

Many students choice (b) and some from the network that I got the feedback from. (b) because the story centres around this girl who finally decided to return the flute which could have given her a lot of treasures. is also possible because if the girl was honest, she would have returned the flute the moment she found it and she should not only return just the flute but also the silver and gold. She understands that gold and silver are just material things but good virtues such as being not greedy will really be what makes a person happy.

I feel both answers are of correct depending on the the perspective we look at it.What’s your take?
