      ksks:
Can someone share the workload there for IP Year 1? Does kids need to stay back till late at night to complete projects?

Also, do kids get to go for overseas trip in Year 1? How many times?
Based on dd in year 1, workload is manageable infact feel that she has an easier time compare to her friends at different ip schools. Project work is pretty space out so no she don't work till late at school, most of the time, she did them at the comfort of home. She didn't go for any oversea trip at all .... πŸ˜„

                Thanks much.

                The info is very helpful.

On exam stuff, can I check whether Tjc IP has regular assessments as similar to pri school? Ie CA & SA?
Also, does the kid get streamed into β€˜A’, β€˜B’ etc classes based on results each year?

I also understand from earlier posts that all new Year1 students need to buy a laptop. Do they need to bring it everyday?

Maths is new syllabus n they use ebook version, I make dd use it's hard copy though .... No textbook for the rest .... Most are school notes n they have to do own research to learn more on their own.

Also, does the kid get streamed into 'A', 'B' etc classes based on results each year?

It's topical assessments, comfortably space out, midterm it provide a progress report n there is a ptm. End of year, there is a more former assessment n according to dd will start after children day.

About the laptop, yes she bring it most of the days, she has to used it most of the time to do research.

Not too sure about streaming but this year, they are randomly placed into the 5 classes.

Can I check for MEP elective whether it is an optional course? Does it need any minimum music background to join? And whether it is examinable?
