I have a friend whose child wants to go to NA and the mom is ok with it even though his results are average. His mom is ok with the idea as she feels whatever pace he feels comfortable with will be the right path. As a result, they don't feel the stress for psle. I think psle is stressful if we have expectations; it's not if we lower the expectations.

      Hi Mummy Whitecarrotcake,
i saw some of your posts in DSA 2014, is your DD been offered thru DSA ? 😄

Chill out next week...yeah, I know sa2 not over, but you need a breather. This kind of intensity is :siao:

3 Years time... O levels, PSLE and then another consecutive year of O levels. We should probably have planned the kids' gap better 😓

But despite change in syllabus, the basic are very much the same.

the change is for English composition and comprehension, no more punctuation editing.

I simply dare not think of my younger one sitting for psle in 2016.
she is intelligent, just not in the academic sense.

Yes offered but she's now thinking if she should accept it or try for rgs.

My son was very stressed before the PSLE…told him to hang on and after the last paper, he would be done with it, for good. First few days after PSLE, he was excited playing and playing…then he told me one fine day he was very sick of playing…stepped in to coach 妹妹 for English oral (she was in p2 then).

I was burnt out, so I let him do the coaching for English.

Mmm . Me too , my youngest is having his honeymoon while my attention on my p6 . I just afraid can't get him bk after his honeymoon .

Mine is P3 and I was \"consoling\" myself by telling a good pal that... well so long as she pass, I suppose that is good enough. We shall work hard and get her on track from P4 onwards.

Youngest has always been more challenging than her siblings. The type who will challenge why must she do this and that and why so many???.... so yes realistically, I don't think we can do much after PSLE. She is smart but not in the academic area currently. If she can find reasons to get out of work, she will. But I am having a mid term view... 3 years to PSLE. I need more sanity before handling her as she usually drives me insane the most. My biggest challenge.

I have one P6 this year. Another P5 this year and continuous next year another year of stress and one more P3. My stress will only end in 2017 after the third one finish her PSLE. :slapshead:

i don't have any kid taking psle this year...but i have a daughter taking psle and son taking o levels in 2016...don't know how to stretch myself even though the older one should be :xedfingers: more mature by then. the stress level will not end even when she goes to secondary school because she is academically weaker. but in Singapore, no matter how weak, die die have to finish another 4-5 years in secondary school before she can find a niche and passion in life.

And then the p6 will be taking O level in 2018 if she's not in IP..... :siam:
