Actually u can tell her in the morning , if her flight in the afternoon . Agency got runner that can send her to airport if u think she will run away . I think abt $50 . Cancel her work permit and inform mom after u get the ticket

Some maids are good . I changed a new , more mature maid . She has good attitude which I like . Although she is not good in cooking and sometimes she forgets stuff but she is very hardworking and willing to learn .

          Dear all,

I’m so sad and headache that I have employed 5 maids for 1 year plus. All of them gave me so much problems, I think i’m really very unlucky. My household have DH, 2 DS age of 8 yrs & 2 yrs, my mum and me. My maid is mainly work on housework cleaning and cooking. Since my 2yrs old son from baby till now is take care and night feeding by my mum. My maid doesn’t need to wake up at mid-night at all.

1st maid: Fresh 23 yrs old maid from Indo, every day cry at my house. Whenever my mum treat her nice, she’ll start to cry. When my mum teach her do thing without scolding her, she also cry. So i ask her why keep crying, she said my mum treat her very good and it’s like her mother. At night she even cry in the room and hugging her blanket that her mother gave to her. She miss her mother alot. Around 3 weeks later she really breakdown and keep saying she miss her mother and want to go back Indo. In the end i return her back to agent.

2nd maid: 7 years experience maid from Indo. This maid 1st 3 months works well but when come to 4th month she’s totally changed. Keep don’t clean my house properly, all clothes didn’t dry well, keep it and fold. So all our clothes smelly. Cooking also didn’t cook properly, sometime over cook or not cook. Perviously I have no such problem. At her 5th months I talk to her, she told me that she still prefer to take care old people and don’t like to handle kids. I told her she don’t need to handle co’s my mum is taking care. Only she need to watch out my baby when my mum bath, toilet and taking meal. It’s just a short time, it’s won’t take more than 30 mins. Somemore go toilet is just 5 to 10 mins thing. So doesn’t really need to take care much too. In the end I also transfer her back to agent co’s she keep insist to transfer.

3rd Maid: 5 yrs experience Filipino. She have weekly off too. When i interview her face to face that time, I told her she needs to cook lunch and dinner and usually weekend will have diner out. But after she work for 3 months she told me that she want to transfer co’s she don’t like to do cooking and want more salary. I’m paying her $600 per month and she expect higher salary that just work for me 3 months. Same, I send her back to agent.

4th Maid: 7 months transfer maid, also from Indo. This one even more drama. She search my room rubbish bin and take my DH credit card statement. Chanting on a paper with my name and my mum full name. She sms all our members name back home and give her mother to chanting on all the members. I call to her agent and the agent ask her why she take our bank statement and search my mum wallet and get my mum name from the NRIC. She didn’t reply the agent, she just keep slient. So the agent ask us to report police and send her back home. In the end, i reported police and the agent send her back Indo.

5th Maid: Present maid with 4 yrs experience, she’d from Myanmar. When i interview her face to face and go thru her biodata. she said she know how to do everything and can cook co’s she learn her the pervious Ah ma. Now the maid is with me for 5 mths but create alot of trouble for me. 1st 3 months plus very good. Can cook well, do housework very clean, clothing dry and well kept…etc. When come to 4th months, can’t cook, keep saying no time to do this and that, clothes start to become smelly. I didn’t add on any housework for her or no additional member. My house is just 5 room flat size. Now cooking the soup until no taste, have medicine taste…i still realize that recently she didn’t drink the soup. I ask her why she didn’t drink the soup, she said she’s too full so can’t drink it but 1st 3 months plus she did drink it. Noodle spoilt still wash it and cook it for my elder son to eat, luckily my mum saw it and stop my son. If my mum busy handling my 2 yrs old son and didn’t realize she cook spoilt noodle, what will happen to my elder son. I ask her does she know the noodle is spoilt, she said yes and she still wash many times until no smell. Faint!!! I even ask her, if the food is spoilt will she cook for herself to eat, she repiled as NO. Since she know once food is spoilt can’t be eaten than why she still cook for my son. I told her floor mat keep for 2 to 3 days and use machine wash but if the dirty floor mat is wet, must let it air dry then put it aside. She never listen, always keep it aside when it’s wet too. So always make till the yard very smelly. I told her, if she can’t remember what i said just write it down but she refuse. She told me that she’s a experience maid so know what should be done and souldn’t done. She have a very high pride and won’t accept what we tell her. Till now she keep doing on her own way. Recently she keep telling me to transfer her back to agent. Oh no, what should I do…

Allowing unlimited transfers for maids is the main problem…MOM should know this. The maids just purposely create problems to make us transfer them.

Maids should not be allowed to ask for transfer...otherwise they will continue to move around looking for easy jobs. Agencies benefit...but employers suffer having to pay insurance and agent fee.

maids 10 years back were not as bad as now…but their attitudes still suck and their ‘here-to-enjoy-life’ mentality drove me nuts. now the agent fees are cut throat. getting a maid is to help out, but it’s definitely the reverse in most cases…not 帮忙,but 加忙。

With new maids, you have about 8 months of her being 乖…if lucky.

With transfer maids, they could be stubborn and/or choosing employers for ‘easy’ job.
With maids, it’s all about luck. Treat them well, you hope they reciprocate and work well, but some take for granted.
Treat them firm, they vent frustration on kids or add something to the food. i know of someone who doesn’t take house keys…when kids or employer returns, they will press door bell and if she doesn’t open, press again.
