One of the plans that we have is to go out for evening walks/ exercise after PSLE. For the last 2 years, we spent weekdays and weekends on revision/ school work.My son was very stressed before the PSLE..told him to hang on and after the last paper, he would be done with it, for good. First few days after PSLE, he was excited playing and playing...then he told me one fine day he was very sick of playing...stepped in to coach 妹妹 for English oral (she was in p2 then).
I was burnt out, so I let him do the coaching for English.
We've our once in a while indulgence after exams eg. going for shopping etc without worrying about revision/ work. The guilt free type. So you can imagine there is really not much time for exercise. Would love to engage a healthier and more active lifestyle after that. Was negotiating with dd1 if she can stay behind to coach the youngest (as Sec 1 exams is over by 10th Oct) and the response from both was no... So yes we are still struggling with that. -

Was in the same scenario as you this morning. Inside the lift going down..
Me,\" DD1, can you help to coach mei mei after 1st Oct?\"
DD1:\" :yikes: No! I don't want! She is so playful and she won't listen to my instruction! Waste my time and saliva!\" :rotflmao:
DD2:\" You think I 稀罕! I can be on my own lor! Thanks but no thank to having you sitting besides me to nag like an old woman!\" :pokeeye: :pokeeye:
I wondering were they enemies in their previous life? 前世仇人?

hanging above my pc, there is a notice board with daughter's SA2 revision schedule and her sa2 exam dates pinned on it.
forget about guilt free indulgence until 30 oct.
sorry psle 2014 parents for hogging this. -
To all parents whose kids having PSLE this year, last stretch…all the very best. Once over, cannot look back. Now is time to head towards finish line.
May your kids be in top form during the exams!
(my turn in 2 years time…don’t look forward but understand it’s a ‘milestone’ of sorts) -

i don't have any kid taking psle this year...but i have a daughter taking psle and son taking o levels in 2016...don't know how to stretch myself even though the older one should be :xedfingers: more mature by then. the stress level will not end even when she goes to secondary school because she is academically weaker. but in Singapore, no matter how weak, die die have to finish another 4-5 years in secondary school before she can find a niche and passion in life.
We've seen how kids who used to be academically weak during pri school went on to do well in sec school. Eg. last year, dd had a bus mate who used to struggle in pri school. I think he eventually did around 200+ - 21+ range. But now in Sec 1, he was top few in his class and won some awards. So what if he is not in a top/ \"famous\" sec school, these are very good confidence booster that will inspire them to do better. There are also the late bloomers who will suddenly wake up one day like sleeping beauty. -

Sounds like a typical scene in my house. My eldest also make DD2 call her \"Miss XXX\". If not, she will not coach her.... :nunchuk:MMM:

dd1 coached dd2 yesterday. Spent an hour of her precious time.
I abit hesitant but I guess it's a form of de-stress for dd1 too, to take a breather from studying
She will be coaching dd2 during psle marking week too

Ds1 asked if he can skip school after PSLE :yikes: I told him we talk about it after PSLE.
Sigh, heart not at PSLE ......more like dreaming how much time he can spent on playing. To think that he's playing right up to this day.
Eer, must go to school right? Afterall he got nothing to do at home, except play. :frustrated:
