To all the KSP, being following these thread regularly, I can feel the heat and heart beat of all of you.

It is like I am at the delivery ward with you guys, encouraging each other :rahrah: to finish the last lap of the P6 race.
I know I will be in the same boat next year, I am not sure how will I take in the pressure.
I did tell my DD that on the day of results (2015), not sure whether I could accompany her to school to get the results. Cause the tension will be too much for me to bear.
Was jokingly telling my DD to stand by an ambulance.

Parents we have done our best by :spank: :slapshead: :stompfeet:
Encouraging our kids. It's their turn to show what they can do.
Whatever the results are look at it as half full glass rather then half empty glass.
Hold on there, and I :salute: all of you for being such a great parent.

Thank you all mummies for the great support. :grphug:

Finally, one more week to go. :rahrah: :rahrah:
Wishing all the kids good luck for coming Papers!!

I don't want to coach my DD2. no stamina for her. My son absorbs all. 😓 😓
Was negotiating with dd1 if she can stay behind to coach the youngest (as Sec 1 exams is over by 10th Oct) and the response from both was no... So yes we are still struggling with that.

:hi5: Mummy MMM 😉
Was in the same scenario as you this morning. Inside the lift going down..
Me,\" DD1, can you help to coach mei mei after 1st Oct?\"
DD1:\" :yikes: No! I don't want! She is so playful and she won't listen to my instruction! Waste my time and saliva!\" :rotflmao:
DD2:\" You think I 稀罕! I can be on my own lor! Thanks but no thank to having you sitting besides me to nag like an old woman!\" :pokeeye: :pokeeye:

I wondering were they enemies in their previous life? 前世仇人? 🤷

Sounds like a typical scene in my house. My eldest also make DD2 call her \"Miss XXX\". If not, she will not coach her.... :nunchuk:
Consider this: even if they are not coaching, get them to help with marking the top school exam practice paper your younger one is doing or help with housework. I did that to my DS1 after his PSLE - he marked all mei mei's practice papers after which I went through with her. He helped with most of the ironing at home, including daddy's shirts (that really helps a lot), did the laundry (scrubbing some shirts before throwing into washing machine), swept floor and helped with some cooking.

Hi MMM,

thank you for your encouragement even though you are so stressed out now.

Mummies,
i kept to my promise to allow my son to play all he wanted after psle...but he still had to abide by my rules - 3 meals, bathe and rest after 30 minutes. don't play until no need to eat, bathe or sleep...worse still forget 老豆姓什么.

a scenario when son coaches daughter:
son: this is how you get this sum done. draw the model blah blah blah.
daughter: ok, i'm done.
son: what? you call this done? wrong! how many times must i teach you?
daughter: go away. i don't want you to teach me. so impatient.
son: fine. i can't wait to go away.
next minute...'daddy, come and teach me. gor gor doesn't know how to.'
son: who says i don't know how to.

Ds1 asked if he can skip school after PSLE :yikes: I told him we talk about it after PSLE.

Sigh, heart not at PSLE ......more like dreaming how much time he can spent on playing. To think that he's playing right up to this day.

Eer, must go to school right? Afterall he got nothing to do at home, except play. :frustrated:
What is he playing with?

I never see my dd playing with anything. She just float here float there, figuratively 😆

I think school plans lots of activities for them to keep the kids meaningfully occupied

My dd2 told me that dd1 is like a lion. I don't want her to sit beside me during revision. I rather do it myself... but in me, I was like... yourself???? :nailbite:

Sometimes when both are in good mood, they will work together but after a while, there will be name callings, etc.. and we need to intercept.

Waiting for the day when my girls will become ladies and the boy will become gentleman. Concidentally, we realised last friday that this happened to be dd1 and ds sec school vision. I told ds that I know his dream school is doing a good job when he turns into a gentleman when handling dd2.

Just to share, I think getting the elder kid to coach the younger one is more effective than any tutor.

Tried that before SA1. It worked (like a dream surprisingly) and I only resorted to that because I was desperate. All those Science OE questions are beyond me.

My kids have different Science teachers but the school syllabus (topics) is the same.

My dd1 isn't very patient either and she's super busy. That's why must endure a bit of impatient comments but her advice is valuable, she told dd2 what to look out for in those topics to be tested and tune dd2's almost non-existence answering techniques.

That is the target learning I'm looking for. To zoom in quickly to correct any misconception. Of course impossible to achieve perfection within a short time but enough to salvage and turn around dd2's results beyond my expectation

So I have 'hired' dd1 again to go full force on EL & Science 😂

since i was burnt out, i had to ‘hire’ my son to coach daughter.

but i added a reward for him to teach her English…he must be very patient and can’t scold her or add any unpleasant comment. play time extended to anything he wanted and $50 as ‘tuition’ fee.
so he coached her for oral, listening comprehension. surprisingly he did a good job.

So I have 'hired' dd1 again 😂
If only it worked that way in our family! I don't know how my kids would be coaching each other as we have never had an opportunity to try. My younger one hardly ever needs help, and her older sister wouldn't be able to help anyway. If anything, the younger can sometimes help the older one! So when the older one needs help, we parents have to do it.
