      Hello Envyna,

Welcome your girl and you to our TGPS Community and yes, it's all exciting and scary feeling for the many unknowns.:P

Sorry that I cannot share much on Ananias BASC as I don't have personal experienced. But I do know a few friends children whom had been there since P1 and till now they are still there at P4.

On the upcoming orientation day, it will be a good opportunity for you to find the answer to your questions on School Bus as the Bus Vendor will be onsite to provide P1 parents with all the information on charges and routing.

      Cheers.

      Hi

My Gal is joining the school force in TeckGhee next year, so scray & excited!

does any one have kids at the Ananias Centre btw, how is the experience like?

I went by and it seems to be so 'strict and discplined'

any advice, also on school bus, how much are the charges these days?

would appreciate all possible feedback, thnks!!!

about ananias -lunch food is good, better than canteen but qty may be issue as no 2nd serving. Teacher fetch p1 - p3 at dismissal or after cca. Bathe upon return before lunch. By 3pm settle in classrooms to do homework or Popular bookstore assessment books bought in bulk at beginning of yr. Teabreak at 4 to 5pm - biscuits or bread etc. Once a week Indoor or outdoor playtime after 5pm. Discipline necessary as some may get out of hand and bullying arises. Run by church so kiddy prayer songs before meals n bible story once a week. Teachers guide in homework n give spelling but are not \"teachers\". A few anchor adults and occasionally helpers from students on holidays from uni or poly. As many kids there, quite a bit of assembling waiting time wasted. Holiday excursions are ok good but only once a week.
normally many p1s but number will dwell as some withdraw after try outs as not used to group setting eg. kids in 3 hr kindergarten would be used to going home and unrestricted playtime.

Just curious why this year’s P3 is having adventure camp when they just had a 1 night school camp in p2 last year? Some experimental group as P2 camp is a one-off and not annual event??

              Hi Ninjago,

From my limited knowledge was that the school is trying to adjust the camp schedules so that the 3D2N Outward bound Adventure Camp will take place when the kid is in P4 instead of P5. Reason being P5 schedules were previously cramped with too many agendas.

P3 - 2D1N camp in school and P4 - 3D2N camp in MOE designated campsite.

This is the first time I am hearing P2 camp. Hmm....not sure what is the reason. You can write in to teacher in charge and voiced your concern. I believe there is a logical explanation behind this new move. πŸ˜‰

              Cheers,
              Astee

As I understand, the school bus operators will be there at the orientation, you could ask them or call the school admin office, they shld be able to help you.

Hi, this sound a little stupid question.

however, can anyone share with me how many sets of uniform / PE shirts and house shirt for Primary 1?

Hi hi.... I asked the same question 2 yrs back πŸ˜„
If you do laundry in a mid weekday, would suggest 2 sets PE and 2 set uniform. This year, uniform vendor around in the first 2 months in school next to the bookshop so if necessary still can buy, assuming no change. P1 & P2 has 2 days PE. If PAL is not on either PE day will be 3 days PE attire.
                      PE attire dries easily overnight.
Semester 1 & 2 different time-table. This semester my child only wear uniform on Monday & Friday. Effectively, only need 1 set as can wash & wear same one within the week. But with weekend ironing, 2 sets just nice.
