        Relax…PSLE is over.

Let the kids enjoy for a while…it is their hard earned rest.
in the meantime, get them to start reading newspapers or anything which will keep their brains stay on track. Reading should be fun.
Better still if you can engage their expertise to coach younger siblings for their sa2 preparation.

Yeah... will check with those experienced parents...
First in my mind ... Looking for 25hr mama... are u there? Her DD1 in that sch now.

Hi GiftedGem, after seeing your post, I ran through my box file to check the receipt, the total purchase was $276.65. This include things like textbooks, stationery, art materials (stated as compulsory items). Books like Chemistry & Physics are for 'O' Levels, which I guess are meant to last till Year 4. We did not buy optional item such as dictionary & calculator (dd still using her P6 calculator), & dun worry abt not bringing enough cash, u can pay by credit card.

As for uniform, u need to buy tie, pinafore, white blouse, T-shirts, shorts & culottes. As for how many sets are required, that really depends on your dd's usage & your laundry routine. In my dd's case, I bought more shorts for her, as she has the habit of wearing her schools shorts everyday.

On that same day, u would need another $80(cash), if u r interested to join the Parents of RGS Association Membership. Hope I did not miss out anything. 🙂

GiftedGem, just to add on to what 25hr mama has said - Buy your dd's school uniform at BiBi & Baba earlier. No need to join the queue in school on reporting day. Also, booklist for Year 1 is the longest. Subsequent years there are very few books purchased, if at all.

Also on reporting day, you will find out whether your child is successful in getting her third lang choice. Sign-up for transport service is also on reporting day if I remember correctly.[/quote]Noted with thanks, jtoh.
Yr DD is in Yr 5 now, isn't she?
Wow.... Good memory that u can still remember for Yr 1. Thanks once again.

When do they normally announce the actual date of results collection? :?

I think announcement is usually made early in the week - maybe on Mon or Tue.

Haaa, my kids' style is to NUA immediately after exams. Brains totally switched off until the next year.

                😉

Thank you, jtoh and 25hr mama for the info and GG for sharing the booklist.
Dd and ds are having a class party today to celebrate children’s day. Dd had not celebrate the day for the last 2 years because of exams held the following week.

                      Hi All,

Need some guidance , I do understand that SOTA is through DSA. Do you all know if they take in kids after their PSLE result is out ? and what is the process? Thanks in advance
