Till now, I still do not agree to let my DD to download any games in her phone. Told her she can go skating, swimming, shopping, movies, even surfing the net ... anything but no downloading of games. Am I being too strict?

Not too strict la. Very reasonable boundary.

My dd is allowed one hour of tv after exam. She's following ch8 9pm show. Special concession as she usually doesn't watch tv at all

No electronic devices allowed at home at all times. Cannot use laptop to surf. Cannot use smart phone at home. Her whatapps messages are sent to my phone
but no restriction once we are outside the house, she can use iphone to read jokes or play games.

The first thing she did after exam is to 冲 to library. Already finished those 4 story books she borrowed on Wed. Need go library again.

Kids can do something they have always wanted to…take up hobbies, swim or anything…clear up their rooms including their wardrobes.

Help out with housework. Don’t lose touch with reading.

Same here, guess everyone can;t help feeling R&R due to the long weekend. I am giving myself and DD2 to R&R till tomorrow. After tomorrow, I must start to chase after her. She is P5 this year too.

I can only make sure that ds 2 do and complete his homework. No mood to revise his SA2 or give him any extra work. I am also in R&R mood after Psle.

True, even the PSLE is over, shouldn't allow the children to play too much of handphone games. It will become an addition like drugs, difficult to shake them off. Till now, I still do not agree to let my DD to download any games in her phone. Told her she can go skating, swimming, shopping, movies, even surfing the net ... anything but no downloading of games. You are not too strict at all. Don't give them complete freedom to play games. One way is to use these 3 months to let them learn a fun skill, eg. software programming, robotics, skating, archery, sailing, drama, etc.

Though PSLE and o levels are over, the roads are still clear because parents have kids taking SA2. I hate that burnt out feeling...want to get out of the house for a breather but if it is not guilt free, then what's the point?
