Yes, BSP Scholars ( MOE) are required to take H2 CSC , as for CLL is optional...
So yes, one has to be in the program for 4 yrs...
As for sch based BSP program, only for yr 3 and yr 4...
This is open to those with interest...need not to go thru MOE interviews...

For BSP Scholars, overseas immersion is mandatory, but not for sch based BSC...
Not sure whether there are any subsidy for non scholars ....

I asked my DS, and have to make some corrections to my earlier post.
1. No much differences between School based and MOE BSP in Yr 3&4. School based BSP not required to sign on Yr5 & Yr6. There was BSP Annual Camp organised by the 4 BSP schools on rotation basis. This year was at RVHS in June. School based BSP students also took part.

2. The Taiwan trip that my DS going to is not BSP related. It is actually Science Immersion Program at National Taiwan University. BSP Immersion will also be in Taiwan, but he does not know their destination/institution. Because of the clash in the date, DS did not apply for the BSP Immersion Program. I am not sure about subsidy for the BSP Immersion for non scholar.

May I ask:

1) How much is the school fees nowadays for Year 1? Is it $28 per month (I read this figure from another thread).

2) Are there so called ‘triple-science’ classes in Year 3 and Year 4 still? How many (XX) classes out of total of (YY) classes roughly?

3) What is the difference between the BSP and CLEP programmes? BSP is from year 3 to Year 6, whereas CLEP is from Year 5 and Year 6 only? So if you are in BSP you cannot opt for CLEP or how does this work? What is the criteria to qualify for BSP and CLEP?

4) Are there a lot of students taking a third language still at the end of Year 6? Or the figure dwindles down as the year goes by usually? What is the criteria for taking a 3rd language at Year 1?

5) UG as a CCA would take up more time usually as compared to other clubs and societies is it?

Just trying to get a feel of how things work in the school nowadays as compared to last time, thanks for sharing.

CO is a very demanding CCA in DHS....
Twice or thrice a wk...depending...
Period leading to SYF competition, pupils need to go back sch for intensive practices during June holiday...
What type of instrumental experience requirements, i am not too sure...
