the letter stated admin day is to settle admin stuffs like Giro, Book list, Uniform list etc … Tik no need bah ? … Did you call the school to enquire ? Thanks.

Just called the school. Child no need to be present. And the whole process will take around an hour

There is a new book on the booklist for P2 next year - Grammar Handbook by MC Education for P1 & P2.

P1 next year will be using red name tag. The current batch of P1 will be using the same blue throughout the 6 years

This morning went to APS for admin day … overall very systematic and quite fast - all done ard 1 hr … Cya ~ Parents on the Orientation Day !! ;o)

yes. it was a smooth and efficient process. i happened to have the opportunity to talk to the Vice Principal about student care. i like her candid view on this and i am looking forward to the years my DS will be in ALPS.

with regards to the school bus pick up timing.


i am staying less than 1km from ALPS. by foot, it would take about 10mins and mainly exposed to the weather.

i have registered for the school bus service. and was informed that for my area (Redhill Close), my pick up time would be 6:30-45 am.

That would basically make my kid to be up before 6am. To be in school by 7:30am which is less than 1km or about 10 mins walk away.

i am still trying to weigh the justification for a school bus given my proximity.

Anyone care to share your views on this. It just makes my heart cringes to wake my kid up so early when i could let him sleep for another 45mins and walk him to school, if the weather permits.
