Call NEA to complain. They will go round to check for breeding source, and eliminate it when found. Make sure you're not the culprit though (plant pots containing water that breed mosq...), as culprit might be apprended. My house has a lot of mosqitoes recently.
Any help? :?:
TIA.

Like that must clean my house more often.
This advice was given to me by a skin specialist ...
Some pple like to change and hang the clothes behind the door of our bedroom, to wear later again. So he advised me not to hang clothes in my DS room. Apparantly, mosquitoes/insects like to hover ard such areas.
I brought DS to see him after some unexplained bite marks (looked like mosquitoe bites, yet doc couldn't confirm). I thought it was rashes so when to see a specialist and this is what he advised me

Basically the specialist advised us not to hang the used clothings behind the door in the room that DS is sleeping in. We used to hang clothes there as well as in our room. So now we only hang behind our room door lah

Don't know if this is true, but I recall reading somewhere that those of us with a higher basal body temperature are more prone to mozzie bites. So I tend to get bitten more often than DH even tho both in same room.
For those prone to mozzie bites (I'm one of them), I recommend the Citronella Body Spray from Perfect Potion (outlets in Parkway Parade and United Square). It costs about $20+ per bottle.
What I like about the Citronella Body Spray is that they use natural ingredients instead of chemicals, unlike other brands. Currently, I am using that now on myself and kids, and so far, the mozzies are staying away :xedfingers: :xedfingers:

Try putting cloves (a kind of spice) in the storage compartment.

Looks like us wise ladies think alike. I do the same thing too.
What I do is to put a handful of cloves into empty tea bags. Cloves act as a natural insect repellant. So I place them in my kitchen cabinets, under the kitchen sinks, etc. Lately, I string my cloves bag at the bedroom windows. I heard that it keeps out flies and mozzies as well.
(For info, these empty tea bags are found in the coffee and tea section. It's meant to be filled with loose tea leaves, but can be used for other purposes as well. I bought mine from from Cold Storage - costs about $4 for 60 empty bags.)
Btw, cloves are one of the spices that we use of cooking. Can buy them from the market or supermarkets. -

Indeed we are
and quite similar in our mindset too :celebrate:
Thank you for your tip.
I'm gonna take up your suggestion abt stringing them at the windows

Does cloves keep away moth too? Can I replace them with the mothballs? i can't stand the smell of it and my MIL loves them. she will place mothballs in almost every corner of the house and i've got kids in the house!!?? though the elder two won't eat it, i also can't bear the thoughts of them touching it... my #2 still suck her thumb...
I don't think my 18mth ds will eat it too, but better don't assume... -

Hmm...not sure if cloves keep away moths. I've only read that they do keep away cockroaches, flies and mozzies. No harm trying?
As for the moth balls bit. Ya, don't like the smell too. Also, I think it's very dangerous with young kids around. Remembered reading in Straits Times that a boy almost choked when he ate moth balls thinking that they were sweets or candy balls. *sorry don't mean to frighten u here* But best to be careful...
