Thank you for registering your child at West Spring Primary and entrusting your child / children with us over the next 6 years. We're very heartened that despite us being a new school in Bukit Panjang, you've nonetheless placed your trust and faith in us in bringing out the best in your child / children by making West Spring your first choice school.

Here are some updates regarding the P1 Orientation Day which will be held on Friday, 7 November 2014 from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (Sale of school items and booking of bus service will start at 12.30 p.m.)

1)\tOn this very important day, there’ll be :

•\tCollection of Welcome Pack and information from 8.45 a.m. at the foyer
•\tBriefing on school and curriculum matters
•\tForm filling admission matters (Note: please bring along your bank account passbook for reference to fill in the GIRO form for school fees)
•\tSale of textbooks, stationery and PE attire (Do take note that some of the items on the booklist are optional)
•\tBooking of school bus service

2)\tThe school bookshop will also be opened on the following dates/times if you decide to make the purchase on another day:

Dates of sale:
November 17,18, 19 and 20
December 1,2,18 and 19

Time of sale: 9.00 a.m - 2.00 p.m

The mode of payment is either cash or NTUC Back to School Voucher. The estimated cost is about $300.

School Bookshop supplier: BL Marketing Pte. Ltd.
For any enquiries, please call 6281 9274, Monday to Friday between 9.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m

3)\tBooking of School Bus Service
Parents who are not able to do their bus bookings on 7 November may call our new appointed bus operator, Aedge Holdings Pte Ltd at 6458 7645 to make arrangements.

You may call Mdm Noor at 6314 4192, Mondays to Fridays between 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. if you have further enquiries.

The information with regards to the school bus transport company will be made known in the 'Principal's Letter to parents on 28 October 2014'.

School Orientation for 2015 Primary One will be on 7 Nov 2014. Would like to know other than text books and school PE attire, what are others to be purchased? What are the mode of payment. Would like to be prepared so that we bring enough cash for payment.


Would like to know if we need to bring any documents for the orientation?

Hi Keatavich,
welcome to the West Spring Family. I believe the school shop only accepts cash. There may be stationary from the shop that you may wish to be buy as well. All the prices for the uniform and text books should be in the letter that the school sent you.

I would really recommend that you telephone the school and ask them about the documents that you need to bring. It may just be Giro details, birth cert and parents’ IC/Passport information.

Hi, Can I check whether the children need to attend this orientation?

Hi, WSP, I just logged onto MC online’s parent’s forum. Obviously not much discussion over there. Compare to 750 posts over here, pathetically only about 30 posts over there. Considering more than 90% of parents have logged onto the MC online account, it’s obvious that WSP parents don’t really prefer to discuss through MC online. I understand it’s a bit unusual for a school to interact with parents through a public forum, but it’s really convenient for us parents to be able to join the discussion here while looking through other parenting infomations on this website. I also understand it takes a lot effort for school to maintain a good communication pathway with parents here and we do appreciate your effort. Please don’t stop it. I wish I can still see the intense and warm discussion here to continue either between parents and school or between parents only.
