Heyya all,
This year P2 in AM session.
This is my routine.
5:10 - Irritating alarm clock rings like mad
5:11 - Go to the kiddie's room and wake P2 up
( No way to carry! She is almost 30kg! )
5:15 - P2 goes to bathroom with eyes closed
5:20 - Short snooze time while sitting on toilet
5:25 - Shower, brush teeth, shampoo ( eyes still closed :!: )
5:40 - All dressed up, ponytails and all ( usually 2 tails! )
and wish me proper good morning... )
5:50 - Last and final check of the school bag
5:55 - Glass of milk and bread with butter and sugar, put on shoes
6:10 - Go void deck to wait for transport, enjoy morning chat,
last minute reminders for sch stuff, read a book together
embraced by the cool dawn breeze...
6:20 - Transport comes ( Usually not very punctual tho.. )
6:21 - Rush back up to get K2 ready!
7:15 - K2 up the transport, and stay-home-mum resumes snooze
till time to prepare lunch! Woohoo!
So, thats how the mornings usually are..
Will be back to post my afternoons!
Cheers.

DD's schedule so far (but Mommy here hoping to change it cos DD will stop doing whatever she's doing and stare into space)
5:40 Mommy woken up by at least 2 very loud and cannot ignore alarms
Mommy crawls out of bed, visits toilet, shuts toilet windows and bedroom windows. Then she has to find kicked off covers of DH and DD, cover them properly and snuggle back into bed and cover herself before she freezes.
6:15 By this time, everyone should be warm enough to function sanely so Mommy gets up and washes face with cold water to wake herself up. (Mommy is NOT a morning person.) Mommy coaxes DD out of bed. CANNOT carry cos DD is 20kg (at least) and Mommy has a bad back. If DD stinks of sweat, she is told to shower. If not, she will just change into her school uniform. Meanwhile, DH prepares breakfast for DD.
6:45 DD must be fully dressed and sitting down to eat breakfast by now. If Mommy doesn't check on DD after shower/change of clothes, DD will climb into Mommy's bed and doze off.
7:05 Mommy must make sure that DD is done eating by now. Mommy would also have finished tying DD's hair up into 2 ponytails. DD is told to go brush her teeth and use the toilet if necessary.
7:15 DD is putting on socks and shoes. Based on elapsed time, you can roughly guess how much time is wasted whenever DD stops and stares into space. Poor Mommy also has to finish her own morning chores and breakfast by now (usually fail though due to DD dilly-dallying).
7:25 By this time, DH is frustrated with DD and will quickly grab his and DD's stuff and head out the door. Mommy will quickly \"shove\" DD out the door as well.
7:30 DH has dropped DD off at school, just in time for assembly at parade square to do silent reading. Mommy also finally has time to go do the dishes, take her own shower, get dressed, and run for the bus that comes at 8:00 to get to work.
I miss my full-time mommy days sometimes. -
wow... most of us wake up at unearthly hours, don't we?
here's my family's routine for 2009.
5.45 - mummy and granny wake up, mummy tries desperately to wake dad up who will carry on sleeping despite music from alarm clock/radio and his handphone alarm..
- koko will wake up on his own - and proceed to bathe to refresh him -
-mummy has to wake meimei up and threatens to leave her to go to school on her own if she is late .....
5.50 - thank God for granny who will help to prepare breakfast - milk or milo/, bread with tuna/ half-boiled egg/mushroom soup with bread/hash brown/just raisin bread or chocolate bread/cereals with milk
-- menu changes so as to entice them to eat at such unearthly hours.. we insist on a full stomach before leaving house
6.00 - koko shd be eating breakfast and reading papers if it has arrived
- meimei will read and eat at the same time
- daddy will do the same
- mummy will nag at them to speed up their eating and get changed..otherwise will be late
6.30 - all leave house except granny
6.40 - daddy drops mummy and meimei in school, proceeds to send koko to his school and then to his work
- mummy spends 30 min of time at canteen with meimei, revising work or simply chatting
7.05 - mummy briskwalks home from meimei's school - 30 minutes of exercise
7.45 - shd be home , checking email and posting @ kiasuparents.com
- otherwise will have breakfast with girlfriend (once a week) -

I totally believe in this, but my DW and DD are not breakfast people (I am). How to make my daughter learn to eat more in the morning, any tips? She's not even into warm drinks in the morning (except the time when we were in Kyoto and she fell in love with warm milk).

Your DW DOES take breakfasts nowadays, you know. Simple one while ensuring that DD and DH wouldn't be late. (Where got time for anything more elaborate than bread with spread?) Then, supplement to breakfast at 10+ at work, workload permitting. -

Daddy and mummy are very authoritative on this one.... which means they have to eat.... no choice.... it's a habit inculcated from young... so no question about it... eat whatever is on the table.... on our part, we try to make it as appetizing as possible...(once a blue moon, maybe will have pork floss bun- their favourite)

Having two SAHMs (one to my other half, the other for my kids) helps a great deal, I think .... -

Hahaha, after I nagged at you about it for how many years.... Now must do it to daughter.

csc, you are right - have to dictate. My daughter is (also) very fussy with food, and we have to change that.
I'm thinking of frying an egg omelette for her tmr, make an egg sandwich. -
Heyya sashimi,
Omelette sandwich sounds reali yummy for a change to
the bread + spread. Making me hungry…
My kiddie likes garlic bread. Can have that with cream of
chicken soup for breadfast too. On and off if there is more
time to kill, i would prepare prata (instant one lah) with
warm Milo. The Chinatown and NTUC house brand are so
far quite ok. If you can make good curry, can open own
prata shop liao.
(Hand-Up) Me too! I agree. No choice but to dictate. My
mum used to say, its for your own gooood… And now
karma haunts back. We’re doing it to our kiddies now. -
buds:
er...have to avoid garlic bread or tuna bun if you still want your kid's classmates to sit near or talk to him/her.....
