Since it is so call indirectly to government, how come the fee is high and comparable to the private?

How the NTUC got lobang and manage to find a location? Is it unfair to other? Unlike private operator where they suicide bid like the childcare in duxton. Pls prove that i'm wrong.

Since they have the lobang and big backing, why can't the fee be at special rate? Are they profit driven?

Bear in mind that recent fee hike is triggered by NTUC childcare when they openly stated in the news they are going to increase the teachers salary, indirectly increase the school fee.
      Oh, now than I know they are related to NTUC  The half day childcare I pay is $660 + 7% GST(Half day rate)=$706.20 - $150(government subsidy)= $556.20 - $90(early bird promotion for 6month)= $466.20 for first 6month.
Anyone can advice is it still consider ex?

            Hi, all parents.

            Good day to you.

I would like to check if anyone have enrol their kids to the New Opening Little Skool House at Tampines Junction?

My wife get to know this when searching pre-school for my 3years old son and saw this news in their website. We have been looking and searching pre-school for months in tampines area. The best thing is the new opening is just across my new house which we will be moving in April. :celebrate:

After calling in for enquiry and got appointment to meet the new principal for tampines branch at Mountbatten Sq Little Skool House. After meeting the principal and we get to know more info of the up & coming opening in Feb in tampines. We were told the new place will be very spacious and also have a bulid in indoor playground for the kids. Fees wise which I think was alright after government subsidy as we took up the half day progammes and so more now got a Pre-opening promotion going on. You can take alook at the website below:
            http://www.littleskoolhouse.com/centre-new_tamp.aspx

We hear quite alots of good comment on their teaching and also see with our own eyes during the visit at Mountbatten Sq Little Skool House. Hopefully teaching at the new school in tampines will be the same like what we saw. We paid the deposit enrol my son as early bird to confirm a place. I not sure whether are we too kiasu but after so many months of searching, we decided to give it a try. šŸ™
            hihi

So the principal of Tampines one will be the old principal of Mountbatten?

Any feedback on how your son is liking the place so far? Is it possible to do one trial session before enrolling?

NTUC enjoys the benefits of the non-profit co-operative like low-rental, well-located premises and grants from the govt. Hence, the normal NTUC childcare centres - First Campus generally have lower operating costs and therefore the fees are cheaper than most private operators. Not too sure about the purpose of their foray into the premium childcare segment and whether \"Little Skool House\" is profit driven though.

Anyway, guess it is still good for parents as they have more choices. Of course like you pointed out, for the private operators, it is not probably not-so-fair competition. šŸ˜‰

Unfortunately not, Tankee. The answer to Archie's question cannot be found within this thread.

My daughter is in Little Skool House, but I can only comment next year. šŸ˜‰

BTW, Archie, you haven't reported at the Newbie thread yet, right? Can you please report there? It's a SOP in KSP.com. šŸ˜‰
