Is this your first time your girl is taking the bus?

Yes, first time and I'm beside myself with fear! She's petite and I'm deathly afraid she'd topple over whilst carrying her backpack esp. when going up the school bus. The backpacks I've seen here are huge, in my opinion. I've ordered one from the US for her. A little shorter but still tall and wide enough for files. I'm turning into a harried mother!

What class is your little girl in?

My girls are in P1 and P3 this year.
I guess your girl will be alright.
I have the same fear as you before they enter to their P1.
But after awhile they seems to be season now.

In fact, my younger daughter is pretty small build. The bag I have for her seems to be oversize. But she is ok with it

Anyway, i thought your girl is already studying in OLQP.
I just want to know if the price increase in the transport.

Can i ask which area are you staying and how much are you paying for the transportation?

My little one is in 1 Love too. Which section were you at? I was in the middle section. What an interesting day is was. May I know how many sets of uniform did you purchase for your daughter? I purchased 3 sets and am wondering if I need more. But alas! They're all too big, so I'd need to change them to a smaller size.

Our bus cost is $188. I heard the bus operator telling some parent that they've raised the price a little for next year. I think you'll have to pay a bit more for next year. I did not know that we have to pay for December. I understand about June since it's right smacked in the middle of the year, but December too? This is all so new to me!

Glad to know that your daughter is also in P1 love. I was sitting in the last section, my girl number is 26. I purchased three sets if uniform and two sets of PE attire.

Hmm...that's what I did too, 3 and 2. I suppose just in case laundry does not get done in time once in a while, I should take 1 more set each.


Mine is number 16. Had a little hiccup when ordering her name tag. Her name is too long and there's no way to truncate it because she has a double-barreled name. Had to compromise. Sigh.

Yes, the transportation price going up by about 20% (excluding 7% GST).
1st yr, it was $120, this yr is $144, next year increases to $177. Its ridiculous…

I went approaching those buses that is not with CHIJ, the are only charging only $100-$120 for the same location. The price is going too high for CHIJ "official" buses… I decided to quit on school bus and fetch my girls myself instead.
