This year's Secondary posting is by cut-off marks or by grades?

Should be by cut-off marks since this year's batch will still get their t-scores.

        CHC123:
Hi can i check regarding the banding of the secondary school. May i know is it the lower the banding the better. What is it all about? And where can i get the info from? I cannot find it in the Choosing your secondary school for admission to Sec one in 2015 given by the school from MOE. Thanks a lot.

The banding was based on the O level results of the pupils in the school.
Eg Band 1: Average L1B5 is lower than 11.
        (L=English/HMT, B5=best five subjects)
        Band 9: Average L1B5 =18

Yes, the lower band the better.

The banding for sec schools were removed some time back, hence you can't find it in the choosing sec school booklet now.

U can check online for past data or visit the school your dc is interested in during their open houses. We were told about the school's O level results, CCA achievements etc during the presentation talk in one of the open house we attended last year.

Are there affirmative news to remove t score? Effective when?

I don't seem to feel it is November yet.
Retail stores are decorating Christmas trees.

Indeed time really zooms past! Seems only like yesterday when our little ones donned on their primary sch uniforms for the first time, walking wide-eyed hesitantly into their schools..., and now its the last week of primary sch life for them!!
