Not sure the exact year but it is true that Tao Nan will be relocating. Most prob 2013 to Tampines.
And that would be very ironical should the rumoured move become a realitymummyloves:
... Tomorrow No School!

There is no official word on this. And if TNS does shift, it is very likely to be for short-term while the current premise is being upgraded.
There is still the option to reduce the number of classes to meet the single session requirement. -

This rumour has been around for quite a whole already. Surprise that it has not turned into fact yet.caracarn8:

Is there any official word on the shifting of TNS yet?
My boy is 3 this yr, and Iām going to apply through Phase 2B. (Thru SHHK route).
Will it affect his application if the school shifts during his enrolment year? (we will be staying within 1km from the present site).
I wrote an email a week ago to the school and have yet to receive a reply from them. I wonder if there will even reply to my query. -
hi Alfy
No official word on the shifting yet.
And if the shift is temporary, the permanent address would be used for measuring the distance. -

Yup! I wrote to the school and they replied that there's no official decision from MOE on the shifting yet, although shifting to a temp. location is a definate. -
Dear fellow parents,
I live in the East <2 km from Tao Nan.
Can I hear your opinions on whether to choose
1. Tao Nan (under Phase 2A1)
Pros - Higher Chinese, Good Watermark in Results
Cons - Moving to Bedok/Tampines when my child is in P1 and P2, Secular environment
or
2. ACS Junior or Barker (under Phase 2B)
Pros - Affliation to Sec School, Christian Background, ECA Selection
Cons - No Higher Chinese, Lower Academic Standards.
Many thanks -

If you are in the 1-2 km category for Tao Nan, unless you are in P2B, you will not even get a chance to participate in the balloting, based on past years' statistics. -

how far is your place to ACS? -

lucid already said her child qualifies for phase 2A1, so that is not an issue for her.lucid:

But ACS is a risky move though, since balloting is required for phase 2B. You will have to be prepared to go into phase 2C.
I would say go for the sure bet Tao Nan.
