I don’t know about other parents, but another mother and I shared the same view:

we bought wifi+cellular but given that our daughters became so addicted to ipad, we didn’t activate the use of cellular.

In fact, my daughter’s usage of ipad is so high that it has broken down recently, within just 9 or 10 months of use.

I bought 64Gb (recommended by school), wifi as the school has wifi access and I do not want DD excessive usage of watching youtube. She has 2Gb data on her phone line and if urgent and no wifi access, she can hotspot to her ipad.

What do we need to prepare for the hostel stay? Do we need to bring our bedsheets? Is it single or super single? Don’t know what to prepare for hostel stay.

Don’t worry. Your child will be given a list of things to prepare or bring prior to the stay.


You can bring your own bedsheets if you like but there are bedsheets in the boarding school. If I remember correctly, the beds were single beds.

Hi I am a P6 student this year and I am about to select a secondary school for myself. I am actually quite keen on going NY. However, my mother preferS RGS. She believes RGS produces confident girls whereas NY girls are not as outspoken. Can someone list the pros and cons of going to NY and RGS pls? TYVM
