lovekidsverymuch - completely agree with your wise words! that’s exactly the reason that i gave to hubs for not getting a maid. Even when we have another child, I will still wait till they’re older (can talk) before considering getting a maid. Nervous la…

From the time we get home till we sleep, all the time is given to DS. We let him play, explore, do his home practice, etc. until he decides that he's had enough stimulation and wants to sleep. He will crawl into my arms and ask to be latched on and all of us will go to bed. Sometimes (well, most of the time actually) DS sleeps very late - last night he slept about 1.30 am! and as a result, hubby and I also usually sleep very late, haha.

It's great that you try to spend quality time with DS. How do you manage to get to work and stay awake at work after sleeping so late though?! Parents need their rest time too so don't try to overdo it or you will burn out.

Hi Bronzy, thanks for your concern. Yes, it’s tiring, but there’s just so much joy. I guess things will get more ‘normal’ when DS starts pre-school. cross fingers

haahaa...lovekidsverymuch, no lah. My in-laws pick them from CCC in the evening to settle their dinner. Hubby & I usually reach my in-laws' place at about 8pm+. After our dinner, got to wait for my maid to wash the dishes (she needs at least 30mins to wash a few plates!) so by the time we reach hm will be 9pm+ 😢

As for now, I already hv problem getting DD to finish her enrichment homework so am thinking when DD starts P1 nxt yr, either get a tutor to go in-laws' place fr Mon-Thurs a.m. (DD will be in pm session) to make sure she does her work or to put her in Student Care. Headache!
