Anybody on \"budget\" can try staying in Super Hotels.
We stayed in their hotels at different parts of Japan. Most provide breakfast and some with onsens. Some hotels have rooms for 3 persons.

Which superhotel is the most convenient to transport ?
In terms of airport connection n dist to train station . Thks

My priorities are distance to train station, availability of a room for 3 persons, price, breakfast and onsen.
1) Kokura - about 5min to bullet train station with onsen & breakfast
2) Hiroshima - 20min to bullet train station (!) but room is the largest with breakfast
3) Tennoji - about 8min to station with onsen & breakfast
4) Fuji - about 5min to station with onsen & breakfast
5) Ikebukuro - about 8min to station with breakfast.

Yes, Super Hotels are present at different parts of Japan which are attractive to budget travellers.

BTW, the visit to Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama or Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka is highly recommended for families. The activities are fun.

Yes, Super Hotels are present at different parts of Japan which are attractive to budget travellers.

BTW, the visit to Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama or Instant Ramen Museum in Osaka is highly recommended for families. The activities are fun.

Yes, we stayed at Ikebukuro and took trains to Yokohama.
Briefly, we went to Hase (Kamakura) for the Daibutsu in the morning. By noon, we were already in Yokohama. The Cup Noodles Museum is just a few train stops away from Yokohama. The name of the train station is Sakuragicho. It is a short walk from this station to the Museum.

I would recommend a train journey during the day. If you take the Hikari shinkansen which is covered by the JR pass, the duration isn't that bad.
I am unsure if the overnight bus has a toilet. The fare for a overnight train is likely to be expensive.

About Yokohama,
besides the Cup Noodles Museum, do make a trip to Yokohama Chinatown. It is \"big\" and has plenty for shopping.
I bought most of my japanese tit-bits there.
The Chinatowns in Nagasaki and Kobe are pale in comparison.
