2014 PSLE Discussions and Strategy
-
My son likes his secondary school teachers…he doesn’t have any attachment with his primary school.
Though secondary school teachers are strict, they are more relaxed once the trust is earned. He told me he will miss his sec 1 and 2 teachers next year. -
I find that Sec Schools students have more bonding with their teachers compared to Pri Schools. I suppose it must because they are teenagers coming to young adults, so the teachers can relate better to them vs Pri School students who are still kids n immature.

I think so too.
Students are at the age they feel like they have matured...teachers treat them as young adults. So 1+1 makes it a good bond. -
Ds wants to have a gathering with his classmates after PSLE result is announced. He said to have all his classmates (if possible) around 20-30 pax to chat and eat. Any idea if this is advisable?
Also, possible to find a food joint/fast food willing to accommodate them? Worried they might get too noisy and disruptive for the food joint to run business. -
I don’t think its a good idea to have a gathering after PSLE results are released unless they all got the scores n schools that they have been aiming.
Otherwise, those with disappointing results will either not go or probably be so upset that they will spoil the mood of the happy ones.

some may not be happy with their results.
a more appropriate timing would be after the sec school posting when most have appealed and settled down with uniforms and books. -
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Ds wants to have gathering one week later, after the PSLE is announced. Thus, trying to work out for a suitable venue.
Any ideas? -

Sounds like quite a large no. Maybe a park or other open area might be better than a restaurant.Sorry for the misunderstanding. Ds wants to have gathering one week later, after the PSLE is announced. Thus, trying to work out for a suitable venue.
