2007 was first year calculators are allowed.

Agree since 2010, no more major killer questions (read: political climate and songs sang by mini**ers*). Since 2011, there's no more 5marks speed questions or pattern questions. But if you drill school papers you will still come across those questions.

ALL THE BEST TO 2014 PSLE COHORT as you get your results tomorrow !
Congrats for surviving PSLE ! :rahrah:

            Does your son/daughter feeling nervous?

My boy does not feeling nervous...maybe he will feel nervous once step into school compound...that's what he said. Still holiday mood....

My DS has been nervous since about 2 weeks ago... keep saying he's worried because he thinks he made careless mistakes... praying hard tomorrow all will be well and I'm glad the wait is going to be over very soon!

All the best to all P6ers for tomorrow!! πŸ™ :xedfingers:

                  Yes 2007

                  294 record high

Yes, I remember it was the year of 2007, my cousin was taking her psle. But not a basis for comparison because for that particular year, almost across the board, there were many high scorers. Many primary schools were listed with pupils hitting 275 and above, afterwhich the numbers were seen in declining trend. 😞

Majority of the primary school I know of, assemble at 11 am. You may want to call your school to ask.

Actually, the t-score of the top student in each cohort reflects the overall difficulty of the exam. If the exams are generally easy, the mean for every subject will tend to be high. Assuming that the standard deviation remains the same for each cohort, it will be very difficult for any student to achieve anything beyond 280 if the mean is very high. So if the top t-score for last year’s (2013) PSLE is 275, then it must have been a much easier exam compared to the previous 5 years. It would be interesting to see if that changes this year.
