Hi, i'm also considering to register my boy for N2 next year. Went to take a look at the environment & curriculum this morning. Feel that there are too many indian pupils there and every month they are having excursions to different places.

      hi
beside chinese, they offer tamil for mother tongue as well. thats why perhaps there are more indian students

im fine with the excursions actualli

          Hi marilyn,

Can share your meeting with the Principal at JCCK? My son is currently at St Fransis, thinking of changing to JCCK, which is cheaper, timing better and more structured.

          Thanks in advance!

              Hi,

My son is in the BL branch. this branch has N1.

I chose this school cos it has many excursions which I like. But there’s none for the whole of Term 1 and there isn’t any orientation at the beginning of the year, and there is no meet the parent session, compared to JCK.

There is also a change of Principal. So I guess they are restructuring.

                  Hi,

I think the 2 branches have different programmes? Cos the principal is different? They just have a new principal this year. My son is already in the school for a term. According to a letter given by the school, they will start the excursions next term and a meet the parent session only in May. Anyway, I am considering changing cos of other factors also.

                      hi

i have been to jcck. the principal is very warm and friendly.
the school is very much like a primary school where there is assembly area with stage, a place for eating (canteen), computer room etc
the place is a bit old and simple.

understand nursery will hv mini project, then k1 onwards more writing will be introduced. quite similar to st francis since i spoken to both schools.

the thing about st francis @JW is it is non-aircon which i like.

Hi meowmama, i met up with JCCK principal, Mrs Yee and the Admin Officer Ms Ho this afternoon. Both of them are approachable, friendly and helpful. They brought me around the school eg. Assembly area, Toilet, Classrooms, Canteen, playground and etc. I can say that the school environment and practice is similar to a primary school but the place is slightly old and simple as there was no major change or renovation done to the kindy once it was built in 1967. They are running Ednoland programme, Multiple Intelligences (MI) Resources and Thematic Learning Modules for their daily curriculum.

Finally i enroll my boy to the JCCK after 2 weeks of consideration between St Francis Assisi Kindergarten & JCCK. They have English & Chinese reading programme where the readers are charged at $70.00 yearly. The worksheets and miscellaneous charges are charged separately too. School Fees is @ $140.00 per month (inclusive of English, Maths, Chinese,Simple Science & Technology & Phonics lessons)and Optional Computer lessons (incorporated into the school hours) is @ $114.00 per term. They do have enrichment programmes such as Speech & Drama, Art & Crafts and etc which are hold after school hours in the afternoon.
