May I know the difference between ACS Barker Express track and ACS(I) Express Track?
There is one very important difference: the ACS Barker Express course is designed to provide a well-rounded education targeted at not only your son's development but success in the O-levels. Value-added is high; the statistical distribution of candidates entering the Barker population is such that only about half should make it to JC. However, more than 80% do, every year (I think it's higher than that but I haven't checked the official statistics).
The ACS(I) Express track was re-engineered to meet the need to allow cross-posting between IP and non-IP classes. This means that especially in Year 1 and 2, there is a lot of 'spare' material or material taught in an unusual sequence. It is certainly more challenging, but if your son is aiming to do the O-levels, it isn't particularly a huge bonus.
Transferring to ACJC after finishing either express course is the same: 2 bonus points for affiliation. Transferring to ACS(I) IB is also the same, you'll probably need 6 points (raw score) for O-levels, or a sterling DSA-friendly CV; there is no bonus. -
And not forgetting about $300/mth...

Or the $80 photocopying fee (I mean, at $0.02 per page, that's 4000 pages a year).

Thanks a lot for the clear explanation. My DS scored 250 so was unable to decide between ACS(I) \"O levels\" and SJI IB.anxiousmom123:
