Understand that students need to join a uniform gp and a sport/ aesthetic? What time do they finish school on a typical day?
So school usually starts at 7.20am?
Do they have a lot of homework? -
Also read in earlier thread there is school bus? Whatโs the shortest way to get to met station from school? Which station would that be?

Sorry not familiar with acsi ip structure. Is it common for kids here to offer higher chinese? Are the teachers good.? Can drop later.? Is this over and above normal chinese?

It's surprisingly common. Teachers are reasonably good. It replaces the usual Chinese course. Higher Chinese fulfils the national requirement up to pre-university level. This means that a student who has passed HC can go on to do a foreign language in the IB years at beginner level, instead of more Chinese. If you drop HC, you still need to do CL, and you'll be doing it as the second language in the IB years. -

The nearest MRT stations are Dover, one-North, and maybe Buona Vista (somewhat further). Walking is fine if you need the exercise. You can also take one of the many buses that go along Dover Road - 14, 33, 74, 166, 196 I think. -

The default is that every student should belong to a uniformed group unless they have serious CCA commitments elsewhere (e.g. national sports training). They finish classes each day at times ranging from 2.40 pm to 4.40 pm, but the timetable is deliberately varied from level to level to provide staggered dismissal times.Understand that students need to join a uniform gp and a sport/ aesthetic? They're supposed to check in by 7.20 am, but assembly starts a bit later. Try not to be late, though. It irritates the heck out of everybody.

Thank you for the advice and info. Just hope at least once or twice a week ds can go home earlier rather than full day school all week.

Hi,
I am concerned about the CCAs they offer at ASCI, if anyone has any experience, please share it with me.
Thanks. -

If you could perhaps let us know what your concerns are, we could share specifically in a way that's useful to you. Thanks!Hi,

:imcool: ACSI has a huge range of CCAs. My DS does not shine in CCAs but he is managing well with what we perceive as the 2nd most relaxing uniform group and a club. He had good year 1 experience in both academic and social. Honestly, I never expected it to be such a wonderful year. One of the highlights was the chartered MRT :imcool:
