i’m like you wanted to get somone to do the house work fr mon-fri or thurs. and i wan to pay 400-450 for just doing house work. 3hr , but till today i still cant find. so no choice but get a maid again.

nothing2do, that's more than what I pay some of my live-in-maids...:| that doesn't count levy, insurance, food and lodging lah! But this arrangement probably suits families who are not willing to compromise on privacy. Sigh!

exactly! somehow, i feel that living with a stranger in the house is simply an invasion of privacy. there’s no telling what the maid does when u r not at home. and frankly, i have tot at length abt whether i would feel assured leaving my dd with a maid at home while i go to work, should there be days when she’s sick. and i concluded no. so no choice, gotta make my own life a bit harder.


the thing abt having a live-in maid is that u have to consider additional costs such as when dining out and the cost of feeding one more mouth for three meals everyday. it can add up to a substantial amt. but of course, if i can ever find a maid whom i can trust the house with, as in the chores and basically someone trustworthy, i wouldn’t mind this incremental cost.

I’m working so i very lazy to do house work, haha. i hv been doing it with my mum help. haha. cant stand it anymore. actually without maid at home is the best lor. but i cant find partime lady which can come in the hrs and day i want. sigh

hi everyone! I have received many PM for the contact no of my previous part time maid. So I thought I should just answer everyone here and also any more future request.


Unfortunately the last I heard was she had a accident, think a fall or something. So not doing anymore cleaning jobs. Then it seems the whole world is looking for her because even my relatives is asking for her. But I lost my hp and also her handphone number!!! I called her house but they say no such person!! She could have changed her house number. So I sincerely apologised I can’t help anyone here. I m also desperately looking for her! sigh!! But if I could ever trace back her number, I will let you guys know.

I have a very good PT cleaner too. she's from myanmar, now singaporean PR.


She's very thorough, quiet, and irons well. At $45 for 3 hours, not that cheap but I can really trust her to do a good job. Think what she can do in 3 hours, others need 4-5 hours to do, so overall worth it.
