spanly:
my boy joined the football cca... one thing good is that they accept the child even they may not play the game well...
haha... probably that's why the football cca is not one of the \"hot\" cca as they didn't win competition. But is alright as long as our kid enjoy themselves.
That's good to hear! I find it interesting when my colleagues told me that at Maris Stella, the P1 kids are put through some \"trials\" and if you are good you are given the option to take that CCA. eg Badminton. Then you have to pay additional 400 bucks per term for an external coach to teach?? Pardon my ignorance but I thought CCA was for kids to learn something outside of academic work and for them to enjoy...not so competitive! :scared: -

I think now quite alot of CCA needed to be \"pay\" if the school engaged an external coach to teach.spanly:

Holy need to \"pay\" for certain CCA too with external coach. Holy Chinese Orchestra needed to pay \"extra\" starting from last year. Heard quite a no. quit because of this. -
Does any Pri 1 parents know whether the remaining Chinese textbooks are on sale at their bookshop already? Trying not to make a wasted trip down.

Gone are the days where CCA (or ECA during my time) means non-examinable fun!

Was informed that morning star student care for 2015 was full. So alternative looking at Careland Student care at BLK 311. Any parents put their kids there? My son will be P3. Thinking of putting him a nearby student care instead leaving him at home with maid.
Appreciate your comments/experience in Careland student care. And what is their monthly charges like?
Thank you! -

[/quote]The kids will still have fun for CCA lah.
Only changes is the school \"sub\" out the CCA to third party. To me is better lah. The teacher will be \"free\" from all this \"extra\" job.

Hi P1 parents,
Just to check for the 1st day of school ,does the child need to wear PE attire or full uniform? It was in the orientation handout but I canβt locate mine. -
