but when I drip gravy or oil on bag and stains cannot be removed, I get very upset.

Usually can remove easily. If I noticed it, just wipe it off with a piece of wet wipe or tissue. No sweat

The next bag I'm planning to buy is a fabric tote bag. I guess may be harder to remove dark colour stain if drip onto cotton like material because it gets absorbed.

I bought a Kate Spade Fabric tote bag a few years ago Experience tells me not to buy fabric tote bags anymore. I actually like the bag heaps due to the design etc. Fabric attracts dust which is tough to remove (I do not baby any of my bags). Kakis here know that I leave my bag on the floor (of course check if the floor is clean first) if there is no space. Bags never sit of my lap during meal times. It hinders my food enjoyment :rotflmao:
Anyway my old Kate Spade bag is now Lizzie's diaper bag :moneyflies:

don't know if those places can be trusted and besides, they are not cheap either.

MK SA gave me a card before but i must have misplaced it. I suppose more 'trustworthy' if contact given by store although that SA said they are not affiliated. I didnt use that bag cleaning service.

Or you can return to LV store. They should have cleaning service contact too

can be put on the floor if necessary

Got germs le. If put on floor outside, cannot put on floor inside the house or on cabinet. Even if clean with wet wipes, still feel contaminated. I'm a little paranoid over this aspect 😂
I'm not so \"clean\". I will keep my bags on my shoulder or lap mostly, but they will be stuffed under airplane seats or placed on the floor in relatively clean places (people's houses etc).

I also don't like to change bags and transfer stuff from bag to bag, so I always go for an all-purpose bag in a boring, neutral colour.
Transferring stuff can be done in less than 10 seconds 😂 I just scoop everything and dump to the other bag. I generally go for earth colour too. Goes well with existing wardrobe.
I'm the kind that brings ton-loads of stuff around for every eventuality. Can't be transferred that quickly!

                      I second this.

Alternatively there are also leather cleaning kits specially for letter bags.

I use a bag hanger to hang My bag on the table at most places.
