Maybe the markers are lenient when marking Chinese papers, since our kids are coming from English speaking families. I was very surprised my son did better in Chinese than English :? He was struggling with Chinese 作文 and 口试.

although daughter is taking psle in 2016 after your boy, I dread to think of her going to primary 5

Can I check if your child’s school has exposed them to the new PSLE syllabus for Chinese? Mine is still doing the old syllabus for Chinese. But for English they have started stimulus based new syllabus exam format.
