If you r thinking of uniform group aka NPCC, let me share that it takes heaps & heaps of your girls time . So if u r living far away like Seng Kang , Tampines, Woodlands etc, think very carefully. need to remind your girl that she may hav to do her sch work til midnight.

2 -3 days a week, they hav to b in sch before 7am and on their Traffic Warden duty week, it's 6.40 am.
Training is 2x a week until abt 6 - 6.15pm. There are also community work, inter sch challenges etc once or twice a month.
Sch hols is almost non -existent .
Like this month of Dec, they hav to go back for training 3x a week, 4 hours each, only 2 parental letter of excuse allowed .
Yes, they learned discipline and they are enjoying themselves....but mummy heartache

My girl scored 244 and i have placed Crescent Girls as first choice, any chance if don’t join NPCC?

seestar, you just solved the \"mystery\".

Since the beginning of this year, dh has been wondering which cca/ student leadership group does traffic warden duty belongs to.

Maybe parents/ girls in uniformed group can confirm.

dd is in performing arts and the school did away with saturday cca this year. But agree with seestar on the commitment. eg. dd was going back to school almost everyday for a couple of weeks during the school hols for cca and other house activities. But I am happy that the school does provide the girls with lots of opportunities to be exposed, grow and develop regardless of academic results.

dd has friends who appealed using other cca eg. performing arts, sports, etc... No one knows this year COP at this point and maybe your dd will be fine. In worst case that your dd need to appeal, I suppose you can use whatever talent she has to offer.

                  Thanks MMM.

Hope my dd do not need to appeal… and join CGS family next year.

Any idea for appeal, can we submit earlier or must wait till 19 Dec?

                      Thanks.
Heard some got it as early as 6+am. So parents will not have a good sleep as they will be keep a lookout for sms tone...

Last year, one of dd's classmates's mum did not get a sms. I recalled she managed to check the status online on moe website. But her first choice was many marks below her tscore so they were almost sure she will get it.

In your case, anything has to wait till 19/12 and frankly, it's only 2 more days. I know it's :nailbite: But it's always good to have documents, etc... ready so that if required, you can act fast and not scramble to get those at the last minute. Just 🙏 hard in the meantime.

Eg. last year, with the lower tscore, everyone expected cop to drop but those schools in the 23x - 24x range increased by 2-3 points instead. So yes, it's a wild card and truly don't know what to expect.

Do keep us posted in this thread. If your dd becomes a crescentian, we will welcome you with open arms. For us, there have never been a twinge of regret and we trust that she is in good hands. Personally, I still think Mrs Tan is one of the \"coolest\" principal around. Never fall asleep in her session.
