After 1 solid month of not having math tuition, it’s time to get start counting again…just in case my daughter forgets her fractions, I have been getting her to do word problems these few days.

Would you believe it - ds hasn't even finished his holiday homework n we hvnt bought his school books yet.

I dread to think how is he going to get back to his daily school momentum. Already now, he is complaining abt going back to school.

my son's engine is COLD...wonder when and how he is going to warm it up for sec 3.
I kept asking if he has any holiday homework and he assured me :roll: there is no holiday homework.

as for books/uniforms, I have settled that early December because I just can't stand that lingering thought of something not done.

parents with kids going to p6 next year are stressed...I am also stressed thinking how to prepare daughter for p5.

Other than the 9 days we were away, my kids do some work everyday

But progress not up to par based on my checklist. Most items still outstanding in that checklist

I give my kids 1 day of complete fun every week during the holidays.
daughter does some work everyday...not on par with expectations but something better than engine gone cold. it is hard to get a year end break, so I am more flexible.

I agree. Year end break is really treasured n I feel guilty if I push ds too much. So I am always finding excuses to let him nua. I am a bad mama.

the 1 month june holiday is not really fun time since there is still school on certain days as well as homework. year end break is different because final exams are over. when I give kids a chance to nua, I am also taking the opportunity to do that.
