Year 4 Rafflesian here! I think what you want to allow your child to eat will affect the pocket money youโre willing to give. Canteen food is upwards of $2, usually under $3. For reference, one plate of caipng with egg, 1 veg, 1 meat is $2.10. Most of the food around that price. Theres two days in school that are โlong daysโ which have two recess each, so plan accordingly. During my time as a Year 1, we went out to J8/S11 about once or twice a week, usually with 1/3 of the class, so you might want to consider that too.

You may check with RI admin office. For RGS, the sch has arranged with vendor to provide the transport either 2pm or 2.30pm and the girls just pay $55 annually ( $5 per trip ) for this.GiftedGem:
[quote=\"2oo22oo5\"]Hi,
Yesterday just attended the RI talk. Realised that my DS chosen Spanish for his 3rd language, the MOELC is located in Newton.
Will anyone experience be able to advise how your kids travel to Newton MOELC? Believe the kids maybe late for lesson as by the time dismissal, its already 1.30pm.
Thank you.
Hi, my son too has chosen Spanish as a third language and i too realised on the day of the registeration that he will have to attend classes at MOELC Newton. Existing students or parents please share your thoughts on best mode of travel to save time & also find time to have lunch.
Information on books for Spanish will also be helpful!

Do we need to purchase all the books on the list? I checked with the PSLs on the day of the registeration. They suggested buying English Literature, Mother Tongue Language & Geography books for now. The others are more for reference point. They mentioned that the Teachers use mostly worksheets for Maths & they didnt use the maths textbooks.
Please any advice/suggestion? -

DS stays back in school until 6-7 pm 4 times a week. That means he has to have lunch in school. If your DS is staying back in school many days in a week, please take that into consideration. So, it will be recess + lunch money.
