I can’t remember what they tested actually, but if my memory serves me right it was Olympiad type of questions, usually held in late Jan / early Feb. Usually these clubs admit less than 50 a batch, so imagine how hard it is to join them.

Astronomy club has very few members and many not so active. There is no placemenr test either. However, if he’s interested, then sign up for it. Note that some sessions are held quite late (past 6pm).

I don’t really have any core CCA to suggest, but if he likes to volunteer he should go for Interact club (although it’s a pretty big commitment for a merit CCA). Members volunteer on a weekly basis at different places (almost anything under the sun)

Patents who drive their ds \tsch, what time does the jam start around the sch area?

        7am +/-

They should use public transport, like majority of students

Most if not all the boys go through trials or profiling for the core cca - they choose you if you are profiled to be suitable and if you choose that cca

You get to rank up to 9 choices iirc

Most people choose one core cca at beginning of yr 1 but may end up with few other merit cca by year 4

If you are also in Euler or math ra, u auto join math club

If you are in Galileo or physics or Chem ra, u join science club also

Then you have prefectorial board, class cec, psl, etc

And along the way also join interact club …

Hahaha you need 48 hours a day …

Neither 3rd lang or merit CCA are compulsory.

Just 1 core CCA will do

                        This is naggo-nitemare's DS.

It is not true that Galileo/phys RA/chem RA is automatic invitation to science club. But the teachers do invite some students from the science RAs to science club in Y3. I think in my year practically everyone from physRA was admitted but not that many from chem RA. Depends on teacher, I guess.

I think the math club selection test generally uses primary school olympiad level questions/easy SMO junior level questions. Not too sure about sciences club but I do know that they test physics, bio and chem equally, to around lower sec standard.

Don't worry about CCAs yet. There will be a CCA trail sometime in January when all the CCAs will showcase their achievements and what they do and give some basic information eg selection criteria, CCA training timings, etc.
