No compulsory subscription.njec:
Do year 1 students need to subscribe to any magazines ? We are thinking of doing so at home, so would like to find out if schools will subscribe some for the students.
And any other recommendations on what to subscribe? Thanks.
We are subscribing to Times. -

The Chinese teacher will give out Chinese publications - one is NJC students essay compilation and the other one is sth like Reader's Digest. Not sure whether these are FOC or part of the curriculum package we made at beginning of the year. These publications are not regular weekly/monthly types. -

Dear all
My DS just successfully appealed into NJC, he is over the moon. As ours is an appeal case, we missed the talk during the registration on the 22nd. I have 2 questions, hopefully some of you could share your experience with us.
1. I heard that NJC does not encourage/allow additional tuition. Is tht true? But I Know of students who actually do go for tuition. Will this eventually lead to the primary school tuition craze, where parents are afraid that their kids will lose out? Pls share if tuition is really necessary?
2, understand that NJC does not arrange transport for 3rd language classes at Bishan. How do your kids go for these classes?
TIA for your sharing.
