It's an alternative curriculum that prepares students to eventually take the O levels.

          Roller bag as in luggage?

Duffel bag used to store things you won’t be lugging around during most of the activities during the camp. I suppose a roller bag would do, but it would just be harder for your son to bring around. I would advise big backpack if you don’t have a duffel bag instead of a roller bag.

            NN’S DS here.

The top classes have been changing overs the years, probably so that people won’t guess the pattern.

In my year, 1M, 1P and 1Q were the top classes. But I think for the 2 most recent years, 1I, 1J and 1K were the top classes. Not sure about the top non-GEP class. If you really want to know, then wait until Euler selection results are out then see which classes the students are from. BUT regardless, all classes have the same curriculum. The "top classes" are just those with higher T-scores.

Thanks, RafflesianSnr. If this is the case, can bring one roller bag/luggage to put everything in, and one school backpack for the activities?

Hi Keborah. I don't suggest bringing a roller bag at all. Your son will be the minority. It is very rare for any boy to bring a roller bag to school camp at all. Boys are boys. Teasing happen.

Just stuff everything into the school backpack and carry the sleeping bag separately.

Btw, DS just told me that they had to carry their bag (backpack or others) and ran from the field to the hall. So, please use an easy to carry bag and don't bring unnecessary things.

No use to bring pillow (inflatable or others) because they will be confiscated during the camp.

Shower will be limited to around 3 minutes (depend on your son's group) so maybe your son need to practice in the next few days so he won't get shocked. 😉

Confiscate is to frighten the junior, total inconvenience is the total truth

Rough it out in that few days is more like it

3 or 1 minute shower is more fun

No it doesn't matter, this 'standards' activity will be held this year before bag checks and all. During my year we had to do it with all of our belongings. I think it'll be the same this year.

I am very sure this will not happen. But just a word of caution they'll be sleeping rather late so they may not bother with it.

Correct. The school simply does not have the time and facilities to allow everyone a long shower.
