Btw, DS just told me that they had to carry their bag (backpack or others) and ran from the field to the hall. So, please use an easy to carry bag and don't bring unnecessary things.

No it doesn't matter, this 'standards' activity will be held this year before bag checks and all. During my year we had to do it with all of our belongings. I think it'll be the same this year.

No use to bring pillow (inflatable or others) because they will be confiscated during the camp.

I am very sure this will not happen. But just a word of caution they'll be sleeping rather late so they may not bother with it.

Shower will be limited to around 3 minutes (depend on your son's group) so maybe your son need to practice in the next few days so he won't get shocked.

Correct. The school simply does not have the time and facilities to allow everyone a long shower.

Maybe in 2015 pillows won't be confiscated. However, in 2014 pillows were taken away and returned at the end of the camp.

I am all for no pillows. DS insisted to bring pillow and I was so glad that it was taken away from him. ๐Ÿ˜†

Did he not bring bolster also ? :rotflmao:
Sometimes no point to argue with our sons. Let them make a decision and bear consequences.

No, he didn't bring bolster. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Did yours bring his teddy bear? ๐Ÿ˜†

        NN'S DS here.

The top classes have been changing overs the years, probably so that people won't guess the pattern.

In my year, 1M, 1P and 1Q were the top classes. But I think for the 2 most recent years, 1I, 1J and 1K were the top classes. Not sure about the top non-GEP class. If you really want to know, then wait until Euler selection results are out then see which classes the students are from. BUT regardless, all classes have the same curriculum. The \"top classes\" are just those with higher T-scores.

Actually it's quite confusing....DS got 265 posted to 1F. 2other boys I know with 263 got posted to 1b and one in my DS class. I heard those main streamers with higher T score can be posted to GEP class. My DS friend got 253 going to 1j but my DS 265 not in GEP class.

Btw, what's Euler? Can brief me please

My guess is as good as anyone elseโ€™s when it comes to the "best" class.

Euler is like more advanced class for Maths. (same for Galileo for sciences) The students take harder class tests and are taught harder things.

The P is relatively new. So maybe he has his own way of assigning classes for 2015.

Does every student sit for the Euler test? When is it held?

If you think you are good you opt for it. Typical class size less than 20

                  Is a pull out class

                        Hi Yr1 parents,

May in know where did u find the class posting for your boys? I logged in but no class listed yet in his record. But seems like many here already know their class allocation.

                        Thanks!
