Last year, my DC CCA day is on Wed & Fri and he will be leaving sch between 5.30 to 6pm. And for the rest of the week days, normally he will be dismiss between 2.30 to 3.30pm

CCA days will depend on which CCA that you are in. Not all CCAs have the same days eg my DS's CCA falls on a Sat.

As for late dismissal, it also depends on which level you are in.

This year, my DS dismissal is fixed at 2.30pm except for Monday - Assembly which everyone has to stay back till 3.30pm.

Can anyone share how does the school allocate the classes for the secondary one pupils? Is it based on the PSLE results or based on their strengths? Are those taking the special music program grouped in the same class?

In Sec 1, there are Talent Development Classes for Maths/Science, Music n Chinese. The rest will be evenly and randomly allocated n not based on PLSE results.

However, when you go up to Sec 3 (after Sec 2 streaming), there wont be any more Talent Development Classes.

We intend to send our ds (1 grace) for Chinese enrichment since she did not take higher Chinese in psle. Is there any recommendations? We don’t mind if it’s a 1 to 1 or small group arrangement.

I think its a good idea to start early on HCL enrichment since your ds didn’t take HCL in PSLE.


Perhaps for Sec 1-2, you can go for group tuition n later (Upper Sec), if he really needs more coaching, then a 1-1.

More importantly is not to stress him too much on the subject too early, but still keep him abreast of the lessons.
