      Upset mummy:
Do the girls from IP program behave differently from the girls from express? My DD mentioned that IP girls are quiet and reserved while express girls are friendly and fun. As parent we want to give them the best, if what she said is true then we would have selected express for her then as having fun and friendly peers are vital in school too. :scratchhead:

As there is no affiliation for IP, the girls are from different schools and thus shy on the first day. For O levels, many girls are from the Pri school and already know one another well thus more friendly. The girls would behave like old friends after the orientation program. This is what orientation is for. šŸ™‚

        Tanlines:
Are the sec 1 classes allocated temporary or permanent?

The Sec 1 classes should be permanent with movement of 1 or 2 students transferred from one class to another for the first few days.

I guess they are just shy on the first day as the large majority comes from different school. I am surprised that the FT already initiated a chatgroup for the class and it is really active even though they still do not interact much in class. Beeps every few seconds on my dd phone.

This is just the beginning............... more of the chat groups will be formed šŸ˜‚

I am pretty sure they will be well integrated after the orientation & the upcoming Malacca trip :). I am a bit worried about the trip though, as my dd is quite an extreme one-of-a-kind picky eater. I hope she can survive the trip well.

                Hi Upset mummy,
Don't be upset. They need time to warm up. It should be ok after the orientation. :celebrate:

My daughter is currently in IP Sec 1. How are the classes grouped ? Any distinction between the various IP classes? TIA.

May I know what classes are IP and what classes are O level? I heard that there are 4 classes in each track.

For Sec 1, they are grouped by PSLE scores.

Yes, there are 4 classes in each track. For Sec 1 IP, they are SY, SE, PR and PE.
