My gal is in 1B. Any idea will there be any lunch break since the school end at 2pm? Was told last year, school end at 1.30pm but this year end 2pm. So when the kids reach home/ student care, it is around 3pm, not sure to let them take lunch or tea break…

Yes, only 1 recess at 1030am, half an hour rest and eat something, mayb it called brunch, hehehe… it is not same as we imagined that recess is around lunch hour. Anyway, my kid said he is very full and buy many things to eat. Then take lunch in the student care after dismissal…

Any parent of 1C found PE lesson arrangement on Tues? It is arranged after recess, I think it is not suitable for them to run or jump after eating and may cause appendicitis. I suggest with Mr Goh about this. Hope school will make a better arrangement.

As a new school with 3 years history, all arrangement for P1 students are well organized. Teachers are also friendly and keep us updated closely.

Hi my son is in 3 Aristotle and gal in 1 Hillary. I find the pricing of the transport does not make sense to me. I was paying only 120 one way for my son last year from school to Punggol. I received the payment card asking for payment of 180. Two children will cost 360. Even though we are paying for 10month it still work out to be 150 per month this is 25% increase. may i check how much are you paying for the bus fee?

hihi my boy is in 1H too.. wanna exchange contact?

                I will pm u shortly 🙂

All Primary One students will take Higher Chinese in Palm View.

My son is the ‘potato’ kind…(more English…). However at this moment, I am not worried because the Principal did mentioned before that towards the later part, they will segregate the kids based on their ability level for Chinese. Meaning that the kids will be able to cope based on their comfortable level. Personally, I find this system good and useful because those who are not too good in Chinese will learn at a more comfortable pace while those who are more proficient and advanced can go at a higher pace. If I am not wrong there is another pace which is the Normal level where most of the kids will be assigned to.

I think kids learn when they are least pressured. If we flood them with difficult things, they will lose motivation and discouraged. This is why I like the 3 levels classification (though I do not know it is the right term to use…). Therefore, even if my son goes to the basic level, I am fine because I know most importantly is he can embrace Chinese at a comfortable pace and who knows, maybe because of this he will love this language! I have heard of schools which ‘die die’ flood the kids with difficult
level of chinese regardless of their proficient level- just so that the school chinese standard will be high. But seriously I don’t think it will benefit the kids esp those who are the more ‘potato’ kind. Therefore, it is still thumbs up for Palm View for this pace level learning…
