My DD just completed sec 1 orienation programme in AHS.
But when I look into her schedules... :scared: :scared:
It seems that 4 out of 5 days for 1st year, she will be home in evening after 5 pm.
1. Two days for remedial lessons till 4pm, based on the Class Timetable
2. Two days on a CCA till 5:30pm, based on CCA schedules.
Is this normal for year 1? :xedfingers: -

For remedial - only the weaker students need to attend. The days/time are fix for the respective subj. So if child is above certain % for the test :xedfingers: , child no need to attend the LSP(remedial).
By now, parents should have received the time table for the weekly test for all level :nailbite: -
Eddow:
Test for each subject?

For this term, only Eng and Chinese are the possibility to have LSP. The first test should be compo. -

Hi guys,
I have boy school attire to sell away at discounted price.
Uniform shirt size 17B x 3 (2 brand new, 1 wore once during first day)
Uniform pant size 32 x 2 (1 brand new, 1 wore once during first day)
Keeping the PE attire as mementos, thus not selling..
Do Pm me if you're interested. Thanks! -

So how's good is good?
AHS always so secretive about the result.
In fact I am quite concern about it because there is no affiliated JC and it seems lot of students are 'forced' to give up HMT after sec 1 due to failure.
Sec 1 is adaptation year, is it too fast to judge that the students are unable to cope with HMT?
In this scenario, it seems many students will get a max of 2 points deduction from CCA. This put these students in a disadvantage position :nailbite: as most ''elite\" students will get 4 point usually.
Can someone shed some light on AHS past years' result? :?
Or any advise to get addition bonus beside via CCA/HMT/Affiliated JCs?

If I remember correctly AHS is affiliated with SAJC....
I don't have their last year detailed results , but friend of mine whose dd took 2014 O level told me her dd's class (not the top classes) L1R5 is about 10.8, and the principle said many subjects got the best result since 2005. Keep in mind that AHS was already a band 1 school in 2012, the final year banding info can be released....
