Thank you for sharing, GiftedGem. The badge initiation ceremony was simple, yet a momentous event. The year ones are now officially part of the family. My daughter was glad that she has a nice da jie jie in the school. A number of seniors even gave their juniors a hug after pinning on the badges for them. It made the juniors feel welcomed!

The Y4 pinned for the Y1 and the song played when they were Y1 3 yrs ago.
So touching and time flies. Very memorable.

It was my Y4 daughter's first time as she was overseas in Y1. She's busy playing catch-up! She's also excited in being part of the selection process for Y1's for her CCA. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Had a terrible rush this morning. The bus driver for our SengKang area did not turn up :yikes: I had to rush DD to school in a cab. Luckily we got to school in the nick of time. Called the driver umpteen times but he did not answer, anyone had the same problem this morning?

The little notes that these da jie jie gave to my DD, she told me how inspirational and personal these meant to her.
I know how much it meant to her especially she's the only child in our family. To her seniors, thanks for sharing and making it a wonderful time for the Yr 1.

To alng, kpfan, octoberbaby, bkworm and zyberk, it is my pleasure to share the video clip . :hugs:

Just called up the bus operator, it seems like the current bus driver quitted, the new bus driver was not familiar with the route, hence he was late this morning. :nailbite: The bus operator said the new bus driver will make another round on the route to familiarise... 🙏

I am thankful that my DD made it to RGS, and to her for giving me the opportunity to be part of the Rafflesian family.

The badge initiation and flame igniting ceremony was most heartwarming, touching, inclusive and overwhelming for me. I am not a "hum pao" by nature, but had to fought back tears because I was so moved. Especially love the closing on high note; every daughter was so highly charged and the whole atmosphere was simply awesome.
