Hi parents, would like to ask about the after sch care centre in Alexandra. I heard that they gave priority to low income family or needy.

So how u working parents settle the kids? Assume no other helpers etc

Babystarlet, u can try asking them. I have a fren who have no helpers n her child got a space.

hi, i spoke to the VP about this before.
low income family or needy is just one of the many factors.
primary this is for family who are not able to look after the child due to their absence (not limited to work reasons).

for SCC, it’s not only priotise for lower income. we are working parents & also dont belong to lower income (<$2.5/K household income or lower i cant remember the cut-off) my kid is also in the SCC…i think subject to sch approval based on case to case basis…

Just to share i had to go thro some of the chinese and english homework with my boy today as he did not finish them in class last fri and he forgot about it. ( i didnt check the books just chked the journal)
We r both trying to get used to hw ;p.
Also just Recieved the latest notice on high frequency word list frm mconline.

He is in after school care so the past two weeks has been rather tiring for him. Hopefully he can ease in to the timing soon.

To the parent who asked abt the after school care:
On the question on the selection criteria for after school care, not sure if it is based on needy parents as we are not eligible for the subsidy but managed a place in the center. So you may wish to check with the school.
